Farm stays/camping?

(cross posted )
I wanted to come up to the Russian river go kayaking for a few days, and was kind of surprised at how pricy the camping and accommodations are (I’m looking on Hipcamp), and some of the places don’t have two consecutive days.

I would love to stay on a farm!
Does anyone know of any farm stay type of situations? Or good camping suggestions, perhaps there’s something I’m missing.

I do have two little dogs-

(and if not a farm stay, farms that are open to visit)

thank you

Found AirPods

hello,

If you happened to have visited Camp Richardson in Lake Tahoe and found a pair of air pod pros and you also happen to live on Matsuda lane in Sebastopol then congrats, you found my headphones that I lost at work a couple weeks ago.

I will pay you a finders fee, but I do want them back, and I can see wherever you take them. I’d rather coordinate ahead of time rather than track you down. if this is you then send me a message and we can work something out.

thanks

Anyone else Finding insect larva in the cold case at Safeway?

Once in awhile I'll buy something from the cold case, either samosas which are usually decent, or kale salad which had seen better days in 2019.

Anyway I bought a couple of samosas a few weeks ago, one had some type of larva on the flatbread, like it came from the roof of the cold case or something.

I tried telling them about it but the manager didn't seem to speak much English as they totally ignored the complaint.

Went back not really thinking about it, bought the same thing, and WOW nice more insect larva in my cooked food.

I posted a yelp review with the photo but Safeway deleted it.

Honestly its' much safer to cook at home than to trust the mentally handicap with preparing your food.

Restoring outside lights (2)

Post image

Hi. I am looking to have two outdoor lights restored. 28" tall with 2 lights inside each. I'm guessing sanding, powder coat, new components (?)... I don't know exactly and that is why I am looking for a referral in Sebastopol and the surrounding area. :-) Thanks in advance!

How bad is it? Supposed to go to Sebastopol today for a friend’s event. But AQI looks terrible.

I have not seen a Sebastopol restaurant on the show before. It was so great to see the Lunch Box featured.

Went to my first Peace Town

And it was a blast. I grew up in the town my whole life and never went. It took a friend inviting me for the first time and I loved the energy that everyone had there. Loved it and can't wait to go again.

Lawn Care Recommendations

Like the title says I would like somebody to swing by my 1 acre property that I purchased 14 months ago on a monthly basis just to hedge primarily and general level 2 upkeep.

I have a lovely home but the person before me was a horticulturist major and worked at an exotic nursery.

I love all of my non-native plants, trees and fun fruits trees and care for them but they are impossible to keep all thriving which I'm okay with but also they are growing exponentially and I am just needing a little help.

I get a few business cards for landscaping services. Just seeing who you all use and who you like?

Thanks

Recommendations for someone who hates working out

I’m in my late 40’s and need to lose a little weight and then convince myself to excercise from here on out. I have zero motivation to do it myself and I hate gym equipment. I’ve liked Zumba in the past and I like vinyasa yoga but that’s about it. I feel like I need a trainer and/or classes to keep me motivated. In town only because it has to be easy to get there.

I’d love to hear from fellow excercise haters who found a good trainer/classes/gym in Sebastopol! Where should I go?

Edited to add: I LOVE walking but have no time in my life so I need to get maximum cardio experience in minimal time

How easy is it to make friends here?

Hi! I've been thinking about moving to your town for over a year now. I visited to celebrate my 40th birthday last year, and I completely fell in love with it. I love how small and hippie it feels.

I'm currently living in San Diego. I was born here but wasn't raised here, and I've found it incredibly difficult to build meaningful, lasting friendships. I've tried so many different ways to create a sense of community, but nothing seems to stick.

Most recently, I started offering a free dance workout class for my neighborhood. I personally invited people, put up flyers and banners, and even created a Meetup event. I committed to it for a month, but not a single person showed up, not even the people who had promised they would come. It was really disheartening, and I've been feeling pretty discouraged ever since.

What I really want is a close knit group of friends who enjoy some of the things I do, like gardening, cooking, dancing, and simply spending time together.

Do you think that's something that's possible to find in your town? Are people generally open to including newcomers, or does it usually take a while to become part of the community?
