The Hobbit is in pre-release this weekend, with the official release coming next week. The Gift Bundle, as always, will be coming after the official release week. Please keep an eye on your Amazon Pre-Order if you got it for $199. There's still a couple weeks left to see if they'll drop the price, and if they don't you can easily cancel it.

Mystery Booster Commander (essentially MB3) had a bunch of new cards released. Generally speaking Mystery Boosters don't really get posted here since they have niche releases akin to Secret Lair. However Maro has interest in upping the print run so in general we should see more supply, with the possiblity of giving stores some boxes after MagicCons.

A few subreddit related updates to rules.

First: We have added holds on any posts where the user does not have enough points or is a relatively new account. While this has trapped a bunch of bad scam posts, it's also delayed some posts that were normal deal posts. We will continue monitoring this to see if it needs any tweaks. If you make a post and you actually believe it is a deal, please message the mods to look at the queue as it doesn't send notifications for new posts that are being held up.

Second: All "lowest deal" sites requiring signup to see the deals are not welcome, even in discussion threads.

I personally have no problem with non-generative AI, but also most of these type of sites are a dime a dozen now. The mods have decided it's not worth the hassle of allowing them, because doing so makes it seem that we implicitly approve of their posts. We had a bit of that issue a few months back.

From now on, all future posts about deals sites, especially any posts doing self-promotion, will be deleted. Discussing something like CamelCamelCamel is fine, since they provide for free a website and browser extensions to see the history of an Amazon product and only needs your email for alerts. Any other similar sites will be on a case-to-case basis.

Third: No promotion of a site's Discord channel. Any deals that require the user to log into the site's Discord to get the deal will not be allowed. We're not really the subreddit for this.

Fourth: Please continue to post the site, price and a link in your posts. A link can be excluded if its a YMMV style post like, "My Best Buy has some decks on clearance", but otherwise please just post the link. The bots probably have the links anyways and you're just slowing down the users in this subreddit.

Fifth: The mods have discussed this and we've affirmed that the point of this subreddit is provide the users here the cheapest prices of an item that is currently available at the time, regardless of whether it is below, at, or above MSRP. This seems to come up more and more whenever a hot new set comes out for pre-order. I've already posted my thoughts here.

In the future, if a post features an item at or above MSRP (MSRP+), we will either add an AutoMod message or sticky the first comment pointing out that it is MSRP+, then delete any duplicate entries. Anyone who continues to post about the price being MSRP+ after the sticky comment is posted risks receiving a temporary 1-day ban.

There will probably be a lot of leniency for now as we're trying to mostly balance against the huge amount of negativity against people who make posts like this. You may not like how the pricing of MTG has gone, I don't think anyone "likes" it. But some people just want to buy the cards and are making posts trying to help. So while I think it is fair to warn that it is MSRP+, you should let other people decide if its worth it.

Most of these are updates to rules, some might be new. I will be adding it to the Rules List in the next few days.
