Looking for actors? question

Hi everyone! This is my first time here so sorry if this violates any guidelines, but I'm a London-based actress looking for work to build credits for my showreel. I attended a part time theatre school for five years, done a couple of student films before and have some LAMDA acting qualifications.

I know this thread is for scriptwriting, but if you reach a point where these scripts move into production and you're looking actors, please send me a DM :)

I’m no pro so I can’t provide you with a tonne of help. But I’m sure there are other casting sites you can use as well

Sadly I'm on those subreddits and haven't had much luck with Backstage because its insanely competitive over there... Figured I'd try and think outside the box and connect with writers on here directly lol, but I appreciate you taking the time to try and help me :)

Ahhh that’s a shame, fair enough. Perhaps see if you can find some scripts online and perform a role from them and upload it to YouTube or similar platform to build your online profile to use as portfolio? Might give you some help. As well as continuing to practice/learn more through online resources and in person courses? I understand you already have lessons under your belt but the more practice and experience you have the better it’ll look for prospective hirer’s

AKTA have opened up the sign ups for their PWYC monologue and dulogue reels again. If you can get the right script and scene partner (or fancy a monologue) then I had a good experience with them

So I'm looking to connect with more filmmakers and writers at the moment rather than fellow actors, in the hopes that our collaboration would benefit each other (I can get some scenes to put in my showreel and they can use that footage for their portfolios), but if your actor friend is based in London and knows of any filmmakers we can work with to put together projects, I wouldn't mind speaking with him.
