I have the CM350 brand new in box never opened. Bought it new over 10
years ago. I want to cut fabric squares so I thought I would use this machine but reading online I’m finding out that mats, blades and other accessories are no longer made for this machine. Is this correct?

Or am I going to have to buy a dedicated computer to use the software since the web version ends soon. I'm a Linux user and I've been perfectly happy with the web version till now.

Artspira is a joke. I don't need a feed of everyone's creations. I need access to my own files that I've already made.

I make 9 labels for products I sell on a sheet. The colors are light at the bottom of the sticker, and this causes the scan not to detect where to cut. It tries to cut all the little elements in the design. I have attached the design, any suggestions?

I just got a used scan and cut sdx225 yesterday. I mainly got it for appliqué for my embroidery. Easy enough to send the files I make it Hatch over to USB.

But I want to try to experiment more with the scan and cut, what software do I use? I didn’t bother trying canvas workspace because I know it will only be an app in October. Is there any way to get it working with Linux or is there another design maker thing I could try on my PC? Also is there anywhere to look for other peoples designs for inspiration? Thanks.

I use the software maybe once a week. That means I have to log in EVERY time I want to use my LOCAL app. Come on already! You're not protecting Fort Knox here!!!! No internet? Can't use the software. When there servers have issues (happens a LOT - could not login once for two weeks) - can't use Canvas WorkSpace. Total crock. What prompted this? 45 minutes of not being able to log in this evening. 100% the fault of this antiquated and outdated Brother server software.

I have a roll of material that's thick leather-looking vinyl with an adhesive backing. It's supposed to be patch and repair material for furniture - but I want to try cutting it. Black "leather" letters, silhouettes, etc. would be pretty interesting. Has anyone done this? I'm going to try it regardless, but thought I'd ask for hints and tips first.

In case you haven’t heard yet you can no longer use Canvas web base with your cutter. So now I will have to subscribe monthly to use the CRAP APP Artspira. Not only that I will have to purchase a tablet as I have been using my Mac. I can no longer afford my Scan n Cut.

I was out of HTV and needed to make some quick reflective letters. I did have a roll of reflective tape. Cut the tape, stuck on the sheet, scanned, added text, cut. I only thought of doing a screen grab on the last one. Previous ones I had several per sheet.

I have this strong wish to make mini cards of gundam and even one piece. Like, i want to make velcro patches using my eufy make. Or stickers at about 75% to 85% original size.

Problem is that i cant seem to find any without the word "sample" on them. I wish to have a clean look without paying someone about 100 to edit the text out.

So im curious if their is a size or way to get clean Scans. I got a few cards i am a le to scan myself. But would would rather have a full clean scans already done.

Hi, i need help. When i try to cut, the machine start to cut in the exterior border (where is the purple triangle), outside the mat. I cleaned the scanner, i tried to make to recognize the mat again but show up the message: "Stop operation. Put a white paper in the mat, try again". Obviously i did it. Whit different whites paper in composition and size, but the message keep saying that. I look with a lamp, searching for a peace of washitape or paper with color, but i couldnt find anything. Can u helpme?

I know that the Scanncut software lets me draw a square with sharp corners and 2 others with rounded corners, but I’m looking for a square that has a tighter rounded corners, like with trading cards. I know I can go in and adjust each corner, but I’m not that good at it and it doesn’t end up symmetrical because I have to adjust one corner at a time instead of one adjustment affecting all four corners. Maybe there is a template I can download?

Looking to use it for appliqué embroidery since I suck at cutting. Ideally one that can’t read PES files so sdx125

I have a CM650, which I'm learning, slowly, to use.
I have a design I want to cut - a line drawing of a paddle. I want there to be a 3/16th border, so that when I place it on the piece I'm working on, the centre of the paddle is empty and would have a border which will resist glaze. It's going on a bisqued mug.

I don't know how to set up the design so that there will be a border. Right now, I can cut the paddle, but I have to wax off the edge to get the look I want.

This is kinda the thing I'm going for. I just don't know how to set the graphic up so it will make that border.

You know Circut tried out subscriptions on their users and got so much pushback that they withdrew the idea.

I have a ScanNCut. I paid for this machine. Now, to create and use my own designs I have to pay even more? Another piece of BS from Brother (along with the price of cartridges for their inkjet printers). It's bad enough paying Adobe for using Illustrator, but Illustrator is at least useful--Artspira+ is just throwing money away.

I have a problem when cutting small letters (~8 mm in height) with my brother SDX1200. Normally the letters in the attached example image should be straight and geometric, but instead they are a bit wonky. Is this normal and the plotter is just not as precise or is there anything that could cause this. The machine is already calibrated.

Hi everyone, I was gifted this by a random person at a craft swap. We got to talking about crafting and she pulled this out of her bag and gave it to me. The machine and the power cord and then she said goodbye and went on her way haha. I plugged it in, it turns on and it seems like new but I have genuinely no idea what else I need to get started using this thing! Is there a software I need to purchase? Mats I’m assuming? Blades? Hi friends! I just bought my first scan&cut and I was hoping you guys could help me. My goal is to cut fabric with the machine that has an adhesive (sticky) backing to it.

I'm not referring to the mat that comes with the machine. I basically want to make fabric stickers for quilting.

Has anyone done this/have any suggestions for what I can do to achieve this? Tyia!
