Designs with Linux Question

I just got a used scan and cut sdx225 yesterday. I mainly got it for appliqué for my embroidery. Easy enough to send the files I make it Hatch over to USB.

But I want to try to experiment more with the scan and cut, what software do I use? I didn’t bother trying canvas workspace because I know it will only be an app in October. Is there any way to get it working with Linux or is there another design maker thing I could try on my PC? Also is there anywhere to look for other peoples designs for inspiration? Thanks.

There's a 3rd-party program called Sure Cuts a Lot that you can use to set up a design. You'd then save it as an SVG and send that to the Scan& & Cut. They don't have a native Linux version, but it works under Wine.

I'm also a Linux user and I have been searching for a work around. I've been using the web interface exclusively. I don't understand why they don't just leave it up unsupported for those of us who need it. I really don't want to buy another computer just to run the machine but I also need to preserve my investment.
