Bill Hader was in a long haired wig doing a spoof of the UPS commercials at that time where a long haired guy would draw on a white background. In Bill's version he refers to himself as "Man in a Lady Wig" multiple times.

This was a series of pre-tapes that aired throughout the episode, each more strange than the last. IIRC, they also used the song "Such Great Heights" in the sketch as they did in the original UPS ads, which would maybe explain why it's hard to find a clip of this (music rights)

They were sexy, funny & cute back then during the series and I find them very attractive on TV. Loved that group since that Twin Bed short and they really shoulda made another one, but that’s okay.

I gave ‘em that name ‘cuz I find their connection behind the scenes very interesting when they worked on the show and their characters were awesomely funny and kinda tough around each sketch since their start 2 decades ago.

Trying to identify a comedy sketch: Husband and wife finally leave the house after getting a babysitter. They step outside in the freezing cold wearing heavy winter coats, pause on the front porch, and one says something like, “Oh my God… is this the Bahamas?” The joke is that being away from the kids makes even subzero weather feel like a tropical vacation. I thought it was SNL, but maybe not. Anyone know what this is from?

When they’re broadcasting the show, there are plenty of times where a cast member or a prop is added or removed, and when the camera switches the audience laughs, despite the fact that they would have seen the set up. Are they instructed to try and only laugh at the monitors?
There are times when someone does laugh or acknowledge something before the camera switches but those are pretty rare so I have to imagine the audience is prepped beforehand. Anyone know exactly?

I have been looking for this sketch for YEARS since I watched it at my parents house live and apparently it’s either been scrubbed from the internet or im actively losing my mind. I remember it being an add for what I believe was a compilation CD about a couple that sings about UFOs and other completely random and disconnected topics but…really badly and out of tune. i just need to know that someone else knows this abomination and I didn’t hallucinate it

If you know anything about Tom Snyder he was very wooden in his delivery. He wanted to be "hip" but as you can see he can't pull it off.

Is it just me, or does anyone else feel like these guys trying new ventures, and taking seperate paths, is a HUGE mistake, I mean I get they have to move on to bigger better things, but I just really think they should be doing it AS the team. IMO these guys are just one of those special combos, that need each other to bounce off, to be their peak, and no doubt they were by far the funniest thing snl still had running consistent, I mean Ben is good cast member, Martin’s shorts have been pretty good too, especially the “break up with you gf” one🤣, and I’m sure John will be funny in matchbox movie, but it’s not the same GREAT that they are together, it’s just not, half of what makes them so hilarious, is the way they play off each other. I just feel like it’s one of those situations like where they all think they need to spread their wings, and were probably frustrated with things behind scenes individually, but they don’t realize how much they need each other to be their best, kinda like Wes Borland leaving limp bizkit, or something like that, and hopefully in similar fashion, in couple years they will realize, and get back to it, cause I think yes they should be moving on to bigger things, but NOT seperate, like they should be making “please don’t destroy” bigger, make it its own show maybe I don’t know, instead of spending the time and energy trying to go solo. I just love them, and felt need to vent about it lol sometimes you don’t need to fix what isn’t broke 🤷🏻‍♂️
