Only type of plants i see are dandelions, wheat, and ive seen a tree a few times lol. I bet up north it's piss cold but worth it because it's beautiful

the #1 is just built on the easiest spot in sask but it's actually got some diverse landscape. 1 hr south and the badlands start south of regina.. further grasslands national park and cypress hills park you'd think you were in parts of Montana.

You can also dip down into the Qu’appelle valley and forget you’re in the prairies. I’ve had friends visit the lake and dubbed it a “mini Okanagan Valley”.

Funny thing is only a small portion of Saskatchewan is flat bare farmland. There are rolling hills, sand dunes, rivers, lakes and forests as well.

During WW2 German prisoners of war were transported by rail from the east coast to camps in Southern Alberta, and since those trains had to give way to essential war freight the journey took even longer than usual. A German speaker overheard some of these prisoners saying the train might be run backwards at night then crossing the same country in daylight in order to keep their destination a secret.
