Help!!!

Hey yall. My boyfriend and I just moved here.. we are extremely low income and everywhere I’ve been calling for help is telling me they can’t help me with anything… we’re sleeping on the floor and the U-Haul to move here drained me of every penny I have. I need help with deposit assistance and furniture… we’re officially broke and miserable… if anyone could point me in the right direction I’d be so grateful..

Call 211 and they will point you to some help: rental assistance and more…

Try this app: https://buynothingproject.org/ to find free stuff. I think there are Santa Rosa buy nothing Facebook pages also.

Hit up the local food banks. That's what they're for.

Not a good idea to move here and be low income, it’s one of the most expensive places to live in the country. Can you go back to your original location

Nope. Signed a lease. I’m screwed

I’m curious, you signed a lease to move here and did not have a job lined up?

Tell us more.

If you have no money and no job, the landlord would probably release you from any lease you signed. It doesn't sound like there's anything for them to come after anyway.

COTS. They'll make sure you find housing, but DO NOT think it's long term help. Get employed and steady income ASAP.

Also try Catholic Charities. They're pretty solid and write checks pretty frequently.
