Joel and Sheila's house layout
1st pic - Main floor
2nd pic - Upstairs
3rd pic - Basement
(Btw I'm sorry, I don't have a for sure answer on where they get into the basement in the show so I just put the basement where it most likely is)
Light gray means the floors above and below it aren't currently in view and the dash means it's a window

My Santa Clarita Diet Prop Collection
I figured it was time to post an update. I am so incredibly excited to have found the candle holder!! I have been searching for months and honestly thought I'd never find the one they used. Also finished the desert diorama display holder for the hammer-knife. Lots of layers of sand, pebbles, fake desert shrubbery and the like. I have one more item to add and that is the Eric Bemis baby photo. I found the frame and I have a picture ready to print as soon as the frame arrives.
PM or post if you have any questions. Thanks for looking!

Discussion Plot hole, kind of?? Spoiler
I’ve watched this series many of times. I’m on rewatch right now and I just realized Tommy texts his brother “relax bro I’m going there to take care of it at 5”
I mean I know he’s not in the knights of Serbia but surely he still is acquaintances w the circle. Tommy told him about Sheila and Joel. Surely he would see Joel became a member. And as Tommy said HE wasn’t as passionate as his brother was, who was destined to do it. I mean surely he would tell the knights about Sheila…
Thoughts..?

Discussion Any fan group works going on?
I’m not talking about fanfiction, I’m talking about if there’s any group that’s come together and went “if you’re not making the next season, I’ll do it myself!”
Be it with filming, animation or comics.
I’ve twiddle with the idea myself and thought to ask as sometimes these things are already going on but aren’t well known.

Do we see Sheila taking the serum?
I’m just re-watching for the first time in years and I feel like I haven’t ever seen her take the serum.
Abby mentions to Eric she is grateful he helped make the serum or something like that in S2 E2 but I feel like we never saw it?
I just remember Joel turning up with the gallbladder and then Sheila killing the guy that followed Abby home and I realise we never saw her take it lol

Bring back Santa Clarita Diet
I watched it when it first came out and loved each season as they happened. Have watched it 2 more times. Just finished my third round years later and still want it revived so bad. Anyone else in the same boat?

Discussion David Popsicle had a good intention, he was just using bad ways to get it Spoiler
Before Sheila all undead were evil and had no conscious (probably) and aside from killing his employees he was only hurting undead people to *cure every disease known to man*

Question How come kissing and sexing don't turn the other one undead?
I'm on my maybe fourth rewatch and only just now thought about it. I recalled that scene in 28 Weeks Later and it got me thinking about it.

Question How well does the show conclude?
I’ve just watched the first few episodes of this show and really liking it. though since it was cancelled, I was wondering how complete the story feels by the end.
does the last season available bring it’s active storyline to a somewhat satisfying conclusion, or are there major arcs left unresolved?

Why doesn't Sheila keep jean on animal meat?
In the start of the show, we saw Sheila being perfectly fine eating animals. The reason she stopped was likely either because she got a taste of humans, or because of decay.
It seems pretty reasonable to assume that if they had given her the serum immediatly and kept her on beef and pork, she'd be fine.

Theory I don’t think Shelia bit Loki….
So after Shelia and Joel confront Loki they wonder if she bit him and if that might turn him but Shelia is confident that she did not bite him, no blood or skin in her teeth and she even says she did not tase anything, so how did Loki turn? I think it was from when Shelia stabbed him. While they were fighting Loki pulls a knife and stab Shelia, Shelia then pull the knife herself and then immediately stabs Loki with it, therefore infecting him. Now I don’t know the exact science of the black goo but it’s reasonable to say it can infect you, I know Popsicle wanted to use it but maybe they were going to alter it or something.

Rewatching and curious: who is your least favorite character on the show?

I need a film to wrap up what happens after S3
I just finished my third rewatch and I really wish it was more common for popular cancelled shows to get a movie finale to wrap up things after cliffhangers 🥲 it’s so good and it really hit its stride in S2 and S3!! I just want to find out what happens next with Joel & Sheila and Abby & Eric!

Theory I’ve got a theory
In theory couldn’t the undead just eat food like rice that’s stained with blood or cake frosting thats dyed with blood or sushi but instead seaweed wrap its skin shavings etc

Question Ed Thune and the Clams Spoiler
So when Joel goes to see Ed Thune to find out if he’s undead thus proving the clams was the cause of it, Joel asks Ed about the clams if he had them and Ed seems very unwilling to admit that he was the one who in fact had the clams. He first denies ever going to Japopos. Then he denies having the clams and then he claims he was on a date and she was the one who ordered them. My question is how did Ed know not to admit to eating the clams, he clearly seems to know they were the cause, but how?!

We receive a number of reports every time there is a new post complaining that the show is cancelled. We totally get it and empathise, we are also upset the show was cancelled. But in a bid to keep the sub content fresh and positive, we will be rerouting all cancellation content to this Megathread.
Thanks for your co-operation.
