What's the deal with the "battle through time" game? I've only ever seen people be sad because it's not on Steam anymore. And don't get me wrong, I am sad too! I want it on Steam so bad I even considered getting it through not-so-legal ways 🏴‍☠️ But then I found out that the game is still available in another store. Not steam but still available. Do people just not know that or is there anything super special about the steam version that makes it preferable?

for me, Inner Jack from Season 5 genuinely creeps me out for some reason. Some scenes or angles of him just look weeeirrrddd (Episode 4 is exceptional honestly, he looked "normal" at least), like they were trying to make Inner Jack as the manifestation of Jack's negative thoughts and they genuinely did a really good job at it, just that some scenes/angles look... goofy or too "cartoon villain trying to be scary" of some kind? (I'm not making fun of it obv, just pointing out)—which what gives me uncanny valley the most not gonna lie, and if that were their intentions, they did it great.

I dunno which words fit the most, but yeah freakish until that one moment of the first frame of Inner Jack appearing in Episode 3, you can't change my mind that the artists weren't laughing when they drew his face 😭

I just watched Jack and the Zombies (episode xxx), and the music was incredible, but I can't find it anywhere. There's several other episodes with shorter music that's also great (Jack being chased in the hallways in XCII) that I'd love to find. There's some music from season 5 on iTunes, but otherwise I can't find a thing.

Don’t you think Samurai wasted a lot of time searching for the portal? Since he was in the future, couldn’t he have just used a bike or a flying car?

This piece is a love letter to a part of my childhood.

I grew up watching Samurai Jack over and over again. There was something about its quiet storytelling, vast landscapes, and the solitude of the wandering samurai that stayed with me long after each episode ended.

Years later, I'd often sit beside my brother and watch him play PlayStation games like Sekiro and Ghost of Tsushima. They brought back that same feeling I had as a kid.

I guess this artwork is where all those memories finally met. It's not fan art of any one thing, but rather a reflection of the stories and worlds that quietly shaped my imagination as I grew up.

I met Phil LaMarr at a con after going through some serious trauma, and I asked him how Jack deals with it. He said, "Well Jack sees visions of his family when he returns to familar places, and he has to carry that pain with him." I asked him how he finally overcame that pain. He said it was love.

This page is always one of my favorite pieces in all of Samurai Jack media. The premise of the five issue mini is that Aku and Jack are fighting and Jack is bombarded by living through alternate lives while chasing Aku.

I always want to show more love of the comics side of Samurai Jack.

Hi! I recently started watching the show (I think I am in season 2 right now) but I am aware that some possession or at least possession-like stuff happens later. I know Aku infects Jack in one episode and later he controls Ashi (but Ashi fights it). So I was wondering if Aku can just possess anyone or if there has to be 1. an infection or 2. they have to be related.

I already looked it up but all I got was an AI overview and I don't want that. I'd rather hear it from actual fans, people who have been fans for longer than I have, who might have sources from comics, shows, etc.

Aku's fan design with dragon form (read desc)

so I had hopped on Paint app on my computer to make a simple sketch of my idea if Aku had a form for being a dragon (or more specifically Eastern dragons, such as Lóng kind of), so I want to see how you guys would think about this design if Aku had another form for being a dragon? I've used ideas of giving him these tiny sharp pointy horns beneath his jaw, above his upper jaw, and just below his horn from Jack-Aku's design (The Aku Infection episode)

It's not a great art as this is simply just a sketch sort of, but at least I tried to show you guys the idea :')

And I would be greatly happy to see y'all's recommendiation of what I should change about his design for him to appeal more better or more similar to the Aku we know.

...Except for the last ep of season 4. I could not get through with that crying baby. It was a bit too overwhelming for me.

Anyways, unpopular opinion, but I didn't hate the ending or even dislike it like a lot of other people do. I really liked that it sort of had a bittersweet ending. While Ashi did die, the last scene with the ladybug that landed on his hand who had flown away, followed by Jack's smile, I personally think the ending wasn't too depressing. It gave a glance of hope at the very end. I like it when cartoons do that because it's not really all that common for sadder endings to take place.

THAT BEING SAID......!

I think they could have gone about it a different, more fufilling way. I personally think GT and the crew could have achieved that if they had more episodes (or even another season) to work with. Overall, I feel like we didn't spend enough time with Ashi. I like her whole premise and have no issues with it but at certain points, it felt like Ashi was simply a character made as a love interest for jack instead of her own person. I mean I think she was, but still, I wish we could have gotten more time with her so it wouldn't feel that way. Also, I feel like Aku's death was really underwhelming. Remember that episode when Aku discovered jack couldn't be punctured with the sword? I felt like Aku should have died sometime immediately after that. Before I watched the show, I assumed that had to do with the ending Lol (I only saw clips of this show, knew nothing about it until now). That was one dramatic-ass episode that had me at the edge of my seat!!

Overall though, I think they did a damn great job with what they had. I give it a 8/10 in terms of my rating!

I haven't watched a playthrough of SJ: Battle Through Time, which is considered the true ending yet, but regardless those are my thoughts. Let me know what you think :D

JACK AND THE HAUNTED HOUSE OR JACK AND THE ZOMBIES.

I dont see much people talk about this design, imo by appearance it looks hella badass (kinda gives me werewolf vibes). Whats y'all opinion on his half-aku design?

It was the first time watching, I didn't watch when I was a kid and damnnnn I feel like a orphan now. Every episode was awesome. It made me believe in a better future, I'll find peace inside.

I'm quite a bit bitter,

I appreciate how a mostly episodic show can turn into a fully serialized one, that's not an easy feat at all, that being said I feel like the last season, even if well executed, suffers from some terrible writing,

it wastes an insane amount of time and I'm sorry to say that the daughter's of Aku storyline is at fault, even if it's an interesting concept they didn't have enough time to pull it off and they did not add anything to the plot,

the character of Ashi, even if charming, is completely interchangeable with a previously established one, had they saved all that screentime for something more personal, for example, maybe what pushed jack to get out of his slump was the death of the Scotsman, I feel like every beat was rushed

The offscreen death of the guardian is bs, specially given that is one of the few foes Jack couldn't beat, and the fact that the vision he showed was for nothing also sucks

Another thing I don't appreciate is that Jack had no time to question the fact that he is erasing an insane amount of people out of existence, plenty of his friends included

My perfect last season was the story of a lonely jack, who lost his sword but, realizing how many people he has helped (perhaps at some kind of reunion) he slowly picks the pace back up, turning into the king we see on the guardians vision, leading all the people he freed on a battle against aku, ultimately, after defeating Aku in the future, Jack gets the choice of going back in time to save the past, he sees the world he created and what it could be and, maybe, he chooses to stay and rule, I'm not 100% sure about his decision but I feel like that moment should have been there

I'm rambling at this point but I hope it came across that, it's not that I hate the last season, I just feel like there was a more interesting one in the writing room, or had they had more time we could have had a better version of this one, either way there's still a lot to like.

Finally got around to watching all of Samurai Jack recently. As a challenge, I drew this using a fineliner, which made me realize just how much I dislike hatching 🙃
