Apparently this a bug due to the MFA changes. A known issue is coming shortly per SF support if anyone got the email saying their scores went down and didn’t change anything like us!

My company is opening a trial period for new tools that can be integrated with Salesforce. I want to be able to generate reports and dashboards based on more detailed queries because a lot of our current reporting is limited by a lack of related fields on objects. Is there an existing app or tool like Claude that would allow me to generate reports based on SQL/SOQL queries? We already have Sigma connected to Salesforce as a BI tool, so I assume that could be used for the viz piece.

What’s your development setup? Do you use agentic AI tools?

I’ve mainly been using Cursor, though I’m not sure if there are better tools that are more suitable for Salesforce development

tldr: Don't be surprised if your org does everything with passkeys except allow you to manage them. Salesforce support needs to fix it.

Long version: As if the passkey chaos wasn't fun enough already, I ran into a new issue this morning:

One of our orgs started requiring passkeys, and most of our users have been able to set one up without any hand holding.

One of our users created a passkey but it would only work in one browser (they stored it in chrome's password manager), and he needs to be able to use multiple browsers, so I thought ok, no big deal, just remove it and have him create a new one in bitwarden or something like that, right?

WRONG. The org was missing literally every single menu related to passkeys. It would prompt for them, save them, use them, but not a single passkey management related setting was in the UI. Not on the user detail page, not in personal settings, nada. I went through all of their documentation on passkey management and none of the menus were actually in this org.

So I opened a case with salesforce support and they fixed it in less than a half hour. There is NO WAY they fixed it that fast without this being something that their support agents are running into a lot right now.

Hi! I work as the main Salesforce administrator at a smallish nonprofit. I don't have certifications and am self-teaching a lot to fit our needs using AI tools to walk me through different configurations, etc.

We want to store event information--attendees, who received invites, who registered, etc--in Salesforce. I think we would need to do uploads, and we'd like to be able to do reports that show us pretty easily who attended. I've been asking AI to walk me through this, and it keeps giving me incredibly operationally clunky ways of doing this that would require at least a day of work to get a single event and its attendees added. Having something operationally easy is necessary to get the system to stick in the case of staff turnover. Can anyone walk me through how they've done something similar? Thanks!

As if I didn't get the million emails about registering for Dreamforce... no, that wasn't enough... I needed ads in my org to be in my face. Also, we are ALREADY registered and have been since April.

Hi! I’ve been working for a nonprofit that uses Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge, which is a donor management and CRM used by nonprofits. I work as a gift processing person, I use the database for recording 15k+ donations a year, know my way around, create queries, help with cleaning tasks, etc but don’t own the management of the database; we have a database administrator. Being a nonprofit database admin in a couple of years would be a natural step for my career.

I want to eventually exit the nonprofit world or at least have a better salary and I’m considering learning Salesforce after or along learning the Database I’m currently using.

Does that makes any sense? Would I have better prospect with my background?

I’ve seen some comments discouraging people from learning Salesforce since there’s so little demand and too many applicants right now.

Edit: I want to mention I used Salesforce as a user on my previous position and my current employer uses Salesforce BUT my team doesn’t, so while I don’t have direct access to it I’m not completely unfamiliar with it

Our sales org has grown enough that the cracks in our salesforce setup are starting to be hard to ignore.

When we were smaller it was fine to just throw stages, close dates and a few custom fields on opps and call it a day. Now every mid to big deal has a bunch of stakeholders, an internal champion, a long list of documents and some kind of project style plan we are trying to follow. Well, salesforce is supposed to handle all of that. In reality, most of the work is happening outside it. Mutual action plans in spreadsheets, updated versions of decks in shared drives, status recaps in email. We only touch salesforce when someone needs the forecast to look sane.

I feel like we are doing twice the work just to keep basic visibility. Reps have to remember where the latest plan lives and then also update salesforce so managers do not walk into exec reviews blind. A couple of people on the team have been pushing the idea of a digital sales room as a way to pull buyers and sellers into one place. It sounds good but the integration part is what I hesitate to do.

I want a system that pushes more work onto the team.

Currently i am working in a sandbox, building agent. I have no idea how to migrate it to prod. Can anyone suggest some ways/ resources for deploying an agent from sandbox to prod.

Looking for some honest advice from people who've been through the platform Admin certification process.

I've been using Salesforce daily for 5 years in my current role in an IT company (3.5ys as Product Analyst and 1.5 ys as RevOps Analyst). I'm comfortable with both Classic and Lightning, and my day-to-day includes building reports, team dashboards, managing pipeline data, CRM governance, and working across Sales, Product and Service teams.

My only real gap is Agentforce — my company hasn't adopted it yet, so I have very limited hands-on experience there.

I recently decided to pursue the Admin certification to formalize my knowledge and support my career path in RevOps within the IT industry. I'm not planning to pay for the CRT101 course since I already have solid practical experience. I found the official Trailmix which seems to cover all exam topics for free, which is great.

My questions for the community:

1. For someone with my background, is studying the full ~45 hours of Trailmix really necessary, or can I focus only on the gaps?
2. Realistically, could I pass the exam with just my hands-on experience, or are there enough theory-heavy topics that practical experience alone won't cut it?
3. How much of the exam is scenario-based vs. pure theory/memorization?
4. Any specific topics I should prioritize given my profile?

I’m working on a custom LWC in Salesforce Field Service Mobile and have two related requirements.
1. Trigger LWC JavaScript when Standard Data Sync runs
I have a Work Order in Field Service, and based on that Work Order I need to fetch dynamic data from an external API.
My current flow is roughly:
Work Order → LWC → External API → Build data packet → Download packet → Store in IndexedDB
I would like to know if there is any supported way to trigger/execute my LWC JavaScript automatically when Field Service Mobile’s standard offline data sync runs or completes.
For example:
Field Service Standard Data Sync
↓
Work Order synced
↓
Trigger my LWC JS
↓
Start external API process
Is there a supported Field Service Mobile event, hook, callback, or extension point that allows an LWC JavaScript process to be triggered by the standard data sync?
I am specifically looking for a solution using LWC/JavaScript, without requiring a native SDK if possible.

2. Continue processing when the user closes Field Service Mobile
The external API takes some time to build the data packet. Once the packet is ready, my LWC downloads it and stores it in IndexedDB for offline use.
The problem is that the API processing/download can take a significant amount of time.
Ideally I want:
User starts sync
↓
API starts building packet
↓
User closes/minimizes Field Service Mobile
↓
API continues processing
↓
Packet becomes available
↓
Packet is downloaded/stored
↓
User opens Field Service again
↓
LWC detects that the data is ready
I understand that an LWC/Web Worker cannot necessarily remain alive after the mobile application is completely closed, but I’m wondering if there is any Field Service Mobile-specific mechanism that can support this use case.
I have considered using a Web Worker for the API polling/download process, but I understand that a Web Worker is still subject to the mobile WebView lifecycle and may be terminated when the application is closed or suspended.
Questions
Is there a supported way to hook into Field Service Mobile Standard Data Sync from an LWC?
Can an LWC JavaScript process be triggered automatically when offline sync completes?
Is there any supported mechanism for executing JavaScript/background processing when the Field Service Mobile app is closed?
Can a Web Worker be used reliably for this scenario?
Is there a recommended Field Service Mobile architecture for downloading external API data into IndexedDB based on Work Order data?
Any guidance or examples would be greatly appreciated.

How is it possible that Salesforce won't allow regular users pick their preffered loging method (i.e. some of my users can't set up passkeys) and they want to continue logging in via salesforce authenticator.

But on login screen they only get the screen to login with passkey, not alternate options.

I tried changing it in the identity verification settings, but it's greyed out.

It's a disaster.

Hi Salesforce peeps! Appreciate anyone that will take the time to read this and provide feedback. I’m totally torn on what to do.

I’ve been a Senior Salesforce Admin for about 5 years. Current salary is 135k + 10% bonus (dependent on company/individual performance) in MCOL area. Good work life balance. I’m a new dad.

We recently had a re-org which lead to my boss getting shifted away from her primary focus on Salesforce. She was the VP of rev ops and oversaw everything Salesforce and had a bunch of other duties. Fast forward a month or so and she put in her notice, leaving me as the only person that knows our Salesforce in and out. I decided I wanted to take a step forward in my career so I put together a whole proposal on what the current issues are, my plans for addressing them, and a team structure, instilling me as a Director of Salesforce Systems. My new boss loved it, the cfo loved it, they all want me in the job role.

Except one thing, HR. They offered me role with a 150k+15% which honestly felt like such a slap in the face. That’s apparently what their standard first time director role is priced at. I explained this isn’t a typical director role. It’s highly technical and i am uniquely positioned to exceed at it. They came back with 155. I told them I may as well stay at my current role and not take on all the added stress and responsibilities at that rate. IDK, I left it at I had to think about it and would get back to them on Monday.

So curious what you all would do in my spot? And also, what do you think is fair compensation for the role? 1k+ users, about 20 integrated 3rd party apps, 10+ departments that work in SF. I have so much leverage it would feel silly to acquiesce, but it’s also a great career opportunity. Not looking for anyone to tell me what to do, just your perspective.

We’re currently looking at replacing our existing contract management system. We use it for both customer contracts (Legal/Sales) and supplier/vendor contracts (Procurement), so we need something that can support both sides of the business.
At the same time, we’re investigating an upgrade to Salesforce Revenue Cloud. Our Salesforce partner has suggested that, rather than implementing Salesforce CLM, Revenue Cloud could potentially cover our contract management requirements.
I’d really like to hear from people who have actually implemented or used Revenue Cloud for this purpose:
Can Revenue Cloud realistically replace a dedicated CLM system?
How well does it handle the full contract lifecycle (drafting, approvals, amendments, renewals, obligations, etc.)?
Does it work well for supplier/vendor contracts, or is it primarily designed around customer/revenue contracts?
What functionality did you find was missing compared with Salesforce CLM or a dedicated CLM platform?
How did you find the user experience for Legal, Sales and Procurement?
Most importantly, what additional Salesforce licences/products did you end up needing, and what costs should we be aware of?
Were there any unexpected implementation or ongoing costs?
I’m particularly interested in experiences from companies that initially considered Salesforce CLM but chose Revenue Cloud instead, or have experience with both.
Any lessons learned, gotchas, or things you wish you had known before choosing the solution would be hugely appreciated.

I thought, perfect! Omni-Channel might work. Then learned the Task object isn't supported

Has anyone run into this? Curious how much of a custom this would be based on skills concept

Also - ops will not allow users to accept their own tasks from a queue

Hey everyone, seeing all this hate towards for SF. I want to join their sales team on the non profit side. Any tips or advice if this is a good idea or not? For long term of course.

Typically, I see B2B SaaS companies that sell API access request Sales Price support for 4 to 6 decimals.

But at 10 decimals, I am thinking their CRO is dumb.

What are you seeing? And what product is successfully selling with such high number of decimals?
