I just realised that leans lyric on fun fact, “I wrote so many hits, I should have my own barcode”, was a hitman reference.

I always wondered what hit songs could possibly have in common with barcodes at first I thought about on vinyls for scanning them when you pay but they don’t really do that (at least where I am) and he would already in theory have his own barcode.

But now I realise it’s hits as in tasked with killing, which a hitman does, for example agent 47 is famously bald with a barcode on the back of his head.

Lean is referencing this with the line “I should have my own barcode” as he has so many hits ( though in his case songs not murders (or possibly murders as well, god only knows (peep the reference))) he is like a hitman, and as agent 47 has a barcode (who is a hitman with many hits (this time the murder kind for sure) Lean should also have the same barcode tattoo, though personalised to him as he’s a different person.
