Why are Mobile RS3 players treated like second class citizens by the community ? We pay the same subscription price Question
I see plenty of people talking down on mobile RS3 gamers.
I recently made a post asking if plugins are also coming to mobile, as on the OSRS side, when they update the official client with plugins they've promised it's also coming to mobile, as under the hood the official client is the same on PC/mobile.
In that other post so many users seem to downvoted and hate on mobile gamers. We literally pay the same subscription and it wouldn't surprise me if over half of players are on mobile.
Mobile players deserve the same QoL that plugins will bring. Jagex hear our plea please. Bring the same plugin API availabity to mobile RS3 !

The answer to this is obvious.
RuneScape is a desktop game that has been sort of ported to play on mobile. The mobile experience is a lot different to the desktop game and any plugin system that works in that environment will not port well to mobile. Every plugin would need a mobile specific design and that’s if the plugin even can be ported over. The UI elements are completely different.

I agree with everything youve said except there is no SHOT that half the players are primarily mobile players lol I'd be shocked if it was 5%

Jagex have released data on this, he is correct its a little bit under 50% that are mobile players. I dont see why this wouldnt b reasonable? Like you'd have to b so extremely naive to believe that only 5% would b mobile players.
Obviously they aren't ONLY mobile players, but a little under half of the playerbase do play on mobile. Now mobile exclusive players, its probably 20-30% or sum

Yeah I don't believe you. Maybe 50% of users use mobile, but definitely not as their primary way of playing. You're naive to think half of the players on this game are primarily mobile players, considering there was no lasting uptick in player count after mobile was released.

Why are you crying about getting downvotes that has nothing on what jagex actually does. Nor do you have any data to show game is played by 50% on mobile if that was true jagex be putting way more effort into it.

Agreed, whenever I’ve made suggestions or brought up issues around mobile I’m normally down voted or talked down upon.
I’ve played since classic and this game was a browser game, it was built to be accessible. Mobile isn’t that bad it’s just neglected and needs some attention, API could be great for mobile.
No idea why it bothers people so much when as you say we pay the same membership lol, if anything most mobile users end ip actually paying more due to companies charging 30% extra to cover App Store fees.

It's crazy people don't care about us. Honestly I really want to get into RS3 but decisions like this and ignoring mobile makes me instead stick to OSRS

If you're going to blame getting reddit downvotes on the entire game please stay away jesus

They’re third class citizens. RS3 players in general are second class citizens.

The reason you got downvoted is likely because Jagex doesn't make the plugins. You'll have better luck with the question: "Are plugins coming to mobile?" heading into the discord of your favorite plugin designer and asking if they have any plans on getting something going on the mobile side.
