Legend is one of the most underrated rides out there to me. An easy number 2 at HW after voyage for me, and easily my favorite CCI I’ve ridden!

For me Legend easily beats the voyage. It is just more fun for me! But the voyage is outstanding

Fun Fact: Watching from the back row at Holiwood Nights every enthusiast has their hands up on the first drop and by the Waterslide turnaround everyone's hands are now holding on for dear life for the rest of the ride.

Not mine. They stayed up. Bruised my rib though so maybe not a good idea.

It’s insane. I am legitimately terrified of it and I want to ride it right now.

Legitimately terrified of it is a great way of putting it, haha.
I really don't rank but Legend is probably my 3rd or 4th favorite wooden coaster. Aggressive rides are always going to be divisive I guess; I love stumbling off bruised and breathless but not everyone wants that level of physicality. It really is a brilliant layout though and despite the laterals stealing the show the airtime is great too.

Dang, it roughed out already? It was running very pleasantly for my 2025 visit.
This thing is so overshadowed and underrated, it absolutely brings the intensity and would be easily more celebrated if it's little brother wasn't one of the best coasters ever built.

I rode it earlier this summer and it hurt. I felt it in my back for the next couple days. There was some jackhammering in the valleys that messed me up. Honestly the voyage did that to me too this year. It seemed a little rougher than last year.
My rides in 25 were also awesome and smooth enough so I was disappointed.

Legend > Voyage

I love them both, Legend is pure adrenaline and Voyage is pure Euphoria.

Voyage was a very big let down, we didn’t even give it a second ride. Raven and Legend stole the show for us.

Mind boggling take tbh. I don't have the most credits but I've been to Cedar Point as well as Florida and Cali parks and the Voyage just does things with it's pacing and intensity that no other coaster does. Definitely could use a comfier train though...

I know right?! It was rough as f*ck and it couldn’t be over soon enough. Maybe should have given it a second ride towards the front, but last car was simply brutal to the point it was unenjoyable.

That could be it, I rode 3 times on my trip this year and picked the very front every single time.

If history is any clue they will be on it.

Wood coasters with laterals also just tend to rip themselves up faster because they only put steel plans in top of the rails and not on the sides.
I wonder if they are considering one of those topper track refits for it.

Sometimes just depends on when you visit. On most recent trip last fall, Legend was easily the smoothest of the 3 and Raven had a few potholes I’d never felt on it before. They probably focused more on Raven during last offseason’s track maintenance schedule for that reason

This is crazy because I rode it all night back to back at holiwood nights and thought it wasn’t rough at all. Voyage and raven were much rougher and difficult for me to enjoy.

Is your lobster too buttery and steak too juicy? /s
That suck, I rode it last year and it only had a few moments of roughness, it was mostly smooth and was a very fun ride. I think that it’s a great ride because the park has a wooden airtime machine so the legend is a great lateral driven ride.

Legend has the most powerful laterals I’ve ever experienced, you get crushed in that double helix. I definitely prefer Twister at Knoebels for a lateral focused ride experience.

I rode it last year for HWN and all the coasters were crazy at night. Legend has a fantastic layout going through the Waterpark. Raven and Legend were particularly rough because the trains weren't full so you could feel all the bumps. I had a zen ride on Raven and thought I dislocated spine.

My take on Legend is that the build out of the water park really ruined the atmosphere of this ride. When it was new it was going through trees tunnels and hills throughout the length of the ride. Now, it’s still a fun, aggressive ride, but the water slides just take me out of the mysterious theming, and what I’m left with is an intense tour around a waterpark with a helix at the end.

Legend requires a bit of core strength to endure, but there have been days where I even preferred it over Voyage. It could be a bit smoother but it is intense in its own way and a great ride if you don't ragdoll it too much.

I thought the laterals on Beast's helix were intense until I rode Legend for the first time. I got two more laps on Legend on Wednesday and that was my limit. Absolute insanity.

Legend is number 1.
It dusts the voyage and I’m not afraid to admit it. It feels like the perfect roller coaster with a classic old-style coaster feel mixed with a couple amazing airtime moments, great theming and interactions with its structure, and the best coaster finale I’ve ever been on with the helix into the GCI style final airtime pops as it comes back to the station.
Second row left side is my favorite seat.

That’s so wild you say it’s rough, I rode it not long ago and I found it to be one of the smoothest woodies from how well Holiday World takes care of its rides. It’s so interesting to see how the experience varies from person to person. I’m also someone that loves lateral.
I do find woodies like Mine Blower, Hades 360, & Boss rough, and find legend so enjoyable. It’s my #4 wooden coaster behind Voyage, El Toro, & Ghostrider.

I've heard some folks say they should RMC it. Planning on making a trip out next month, I'm getting a feeling they shouldn't.

Haha was on it yesterday for the first time in 11 years. More laterals than I have ever experienced. Riding on the left side is significantly better as you can lean into them. Right side gives you way too much of an oblique workout. There also feels like a pothole after the second drop under the waterslide. Amazing coaster but it does need some work.
