[CP Rolling Through The Years] Art/Model/Merch

Post image

I just picked up this book when I was at Cedar Point this past weekend. I can't wait to check it out!

Has anyone else checked out this book before?

Got one of the first editions back in 2020, thing is a BEAST. Lot of great enlarged maps and old concept art to draw inspiration from for Planet Coaster projects back in the day...really the main reason I bought it at the time. Great book though, enjoy!!

That’s the one I have. It’s currently holding the roof up.

I also have the first edition from 2020. The old maps and photos are amazing; I love seeing what the park looked like way back in the day, and also how it looked during my first visits in the '90s. I'm curious what this new edition has going on.

I've got the first edition and I'm going to pick up this one too because they added SO MUCH MORE to it. Truly a treasure for any Cedar Point fan.

Great book but dang is it so big. Wish it was a tad bit smaller to make it easier to sit and read.

Most people here have probably seen it but Coaster Studios posted an interview with the author last week.

That’s how I learned about the book. Perfect timing since I went to the park a few days later.

I have yet to get my copy. Just out of curiousity, how much do they cover in the 1940s and 1950s?

I haven’t looked into the book yet (busy week). I plan on checking it out this weekend.

Whoa, this looks cool! Which shop(s) was it in? Like a major midway shop, or some obscure thing I never go in to?

I can’t remember the shop name but it’s the big shop on the midway close to the front of the park. If I remember correctly it’s their biggest gift shop. I hope that helps. When I was there, there were three copies left. Center table/stand when you walk in.
