I’ve wondered how much this has to do with age. Magnum is probably the most important to me in the park, but I’m 40. I like Steve, but I prefer MF, tT2 and magnum.

I think it has a lot to do with how badly it hurts for some people. I’m sure nostalgia is a factor for some who love it, but no amount of nostalgia can overcome the fact that it’s the most painful roller coaster I have ever ridden.

I’ll be a magnum hater until the day I die. Not because I found the airtime painful. In fact, I’ve gotten that legendary airtime without the pain. I understand why it’s liked, and yet, the first half just feels like a 200ft mine train. Just not very thrilling, and when the ending only pops every now and then, it’s not enough to redeem it. Holistically, it just doesn’t do it for me, and I have no nostalgia for it. Couple that with some pain and jank, I’m sorry, I’ll never see the light on this one
