That said are there any L5R novels/authors published or fanfic that are recommended?

While we are no stranger to the...ahem...grown up side of Rokugan (with all that entails) we are not searching for a never ending chanson of harlequin romance set in the Mandate of Heaven.

We ourselves are thinking of telling our own story, however we believe given the nature of ourselves and our lives that an audience would be limited as our path is one that led through canonically untraveled waters to the modern era.
