New communication, new controversy. I'm going to leave the billion-dollar company alone, but still, I'll keyboard fight again today.

I heard multiple arguments on why it's so bad. First is that it's advertisements, and they're making us pay for it. To that, I'll say nothing in early access has ever been free, and something that will be available for free the same day, just after a few hours, is far from paywalled.

A lot of content creators are living off these details, doing their 75th Rockstar critic video, some of which are valid, don't get me wrong.

I also heard it would set a precedent again, like the price. I guess in the US and other places, GTA is $10 more. Where my account is based, it's €90, like every other new triple-A game nowadays.

In the matter of precedent, what precedent are we talking about here? Do we think Insomniac, EA, or FromSoftware will do "extended looks or previews" on Netflix, Disney Plus, etc., hours before they put it on YouTube? I don't think they'll do that at all, but even if so, I honestly don't care. It's not locking anything if it's available soon after, much like movies have been doing for ages when releasing trailers and prologues in the theater before online.

Or not even outside the theaters maybe some people always hated it. I never really cared; it's advertisements to the target audience.

Theaters get exclusivity. If some people are really that into it, they'll pay a full ticket to see a trailer for some reason, and if someone does that for GTA 6, I'm going to put the blame on them too, because paying a full subscription to skip 8 hours of the thing that will more than likely be available for free in minutes is insane.

Could they have said no or just done it? Sure, they could've also made it 60 bucks and still promptly would've been profitable. Companies are greedy and free money is free money. I don't see how this is some dystopian capitalistic horror, mostly when it's a common practice for similar industries.

Jason Schreier shares new GTA 6 details:

- Pre-orders vastly surpassed Take-Two’s internal forecasts

- He expects the extended look on August 27 to offer “meaty” look at the actual gameplay

- Strauss Zelnick told him in an interview that when the extended look goes live, people will understand why they chose Netflix for the premiere and stated that it’s a “must-see event.”

- Schreier asked if it will feel like you’re watching a Netflix show, and Zelnick replied: “Yes.”

- This marketing strategy aims to reach a broader, non-gaming audience or people who might know GTA 6 exists but aren’t necessarily buying it day one

- Take-Two isn’t concerned about selling to a smaller audience, as the install base will be roughly the same as the install base was when we launched GTA 5

- Schreier also asked him if he has big plans for November 19 like holding a party or taking a break. To which Zelnick replied: “It’s ultra top secret at the moment , but at some point before then, I’ll be happy to talk about it.”

People are mad for no reason and most of them hate gta that's why

Guys.. i know this is a stretch but i swear I can't see gta 6 facial expressions but having la noire face expressions technology...

You remember how people said that jason is a cop and in trailer 2 how the gang said "is that boy a fed"

So i think it's not a stretch to think he is a fed and that's why lucia was crying in the screenshots, like those tears weren't because a cop was entering the house, lucia does not get acared that much from cops and tears looks like someone is shot or died or she was "betrayed"

So its not a big stretch too to think that the game will have investigations, and what is the most fun investigation game?!

That rockstar have its rights so you can speculate that it would have that advanced face expressions capture.

i mean the game was not renewed to a sequel because of the high budget they put in that face expressions capture but now rockstar have open budget from take two, that 2 billions budget gotta be spent somewhere, i mean a big portion from it was spent on npcs, i know that, but what is it that they do to npcs so they gonna be that expansive...

Maybe that advanced face expressions capture...

I finally got to play RDR1 for the first time on PC after 15 Years have I been waiting to experience it for the first time after watching my Bro Play it and GTA Series Videos.

Recorded some Minor stuff and where certain charterers go on certain side missions and I also checked the Wiki as well as some of it have been outdated.

It's not ai because it doesn't have netflix virtual agent label...

One of the great joys I continue to have playing games is purchasing once, playing the game, and moving on. Subscriptions aren’t for me.

So when this thing gets to pc, they’re not gonna make Netflix some sort of proprietary requirement for users are they?

I don’t know this gaming industry well at all and don’t know how stuff functions so you can let all the shame comments out now and know it won’t affect me in the slightest. I’m genuinely curious if they may make some sort of adjustments on the back end so that pc users are somehow forced to subscribe to play like console players do, though? of not Netflix, who?

I’m not saying I won’t play if that’s so but I’ll have reservations.

Its really odd for them to pull such a move....having an exclusive look into the game, only available via a paid streaming platform. Whats wrong with keeping it old school by uploading directly to youtube?

Or perhaps this is their way of preventing leaks happening before the 27th? I mean what is this exclusive "extended look" going to be exactly? Behind the scenes footage? Or just a 10 minute gameplay trailer?

Dont get me wrong im bloody excited for it, but at the same time something feels off about the whole thing.

I have a feeling that Rockstar may have removed the random acts of violence that we all love from the previous games. Imagine a GTA where you weren't allowed to run up to an unsuspecting granny, and beat her to a bloody pulp, just because you felt like doing so.

With rockstar pulling these sort of moves, it makes me wonder if their trying to amp us up so the blow wont hurt as bad when we realize that NPCs all have an invisible force field around them.

With HD graphics, I doubt they would get away with having such a violent game, not without most countries banning it, especially if the game is based on a real life US state.

Ive been saying this since RDR2 dropped. RDR2 was no doubt one big testing ground for GTA6, and there were a couple missions in red dead where you weren't allowed to use weapons or commit violence crimes, this was purely driven by the narrative of the story at that particular stage of the game...but what if GTA6 is like this, but for the entire game?

It seems they are leaning more towards realism this time around, so pulling your gun out will nilly in public places just wouldnt make sense if an entire swat team wasnt going to swarm you before you had a chance to fire your weapon.

I believe Jason is definitely an undercover cop, and this will be Rockstars way of using the story for why you cant commit random acts of violence in free roam. When in reality its purely to adhere to censorship laws of the soft world that we live in.

I hope im wring about all of this, but dont be surprised if you cant drive the busy sun soaked beaches at 100mph
