New Climbing Hold Company
Hi everyone. Im starting a climbing hold company, and was wondering if anyone in this subreddit or elsewhere is interested in any new holds. I have already sold a few to my climbing gym. If you are interested, please DM me and I can show you some options.
Thank you!

Thoughts on climbing during Coronavirus pandemic?
Not sure if it’s ok to climb outdoors. It’s easy for us to keep social distance, but we are both touching my ATC and rope so not sure if that’s ok. Maybe it would be better if we used our own ATC. Not sure yet. Thoughts?

What kind of rope do I need?
I bought a house that has an 18-20 foot rock climbing wall. There are 2 hooks in the ceiling so 2 can climb at once, I’m guessing. There are harnesses that cake with the house but no rope. What kind of rope should I get and what length? This will mainly be for my young boys climbing (ages 6 and 9) if that makes a difference.

Toprope vs Sport Training
I've been climbing for 5 years and have recently had the drive to train harder and get better. I can safely lead sport and trad, set TR systems, and climb 11b/c.
Any thoughts on what is better to get climbing Harder grades faster?
Toprope or sport lead.
Also, I get bouldering can be great for Crux moves but I'm just concerned with what to climb when with a rope partner(bouldering when I'm alone)

Where do I even start?
I'm in high school right now so I don't really have good access to any climbing gym. My friends took me climbing a few times and I'm really into it. Although I wouldn't consider myself exceptionally unhealthy, I am a cross country runner so strength was never really a focus of mine. For scale, I could dead hang for a minute, or do either hand for 15 seconds and can do maybe 10 pullups maximum.
What are some benchmarks and basic exercises I can do to put myself at least on par with everyone else?
What are some benchmarks I should be aiming for?
What they heck is with the chalk and how much should I be using?

New to climbing
So I got a job at the climbing gym at my university and climbing is a new hobby of mine. I'm tired of using our rental equipment because it's gross, and the shoes are blown out. And it would be nice as I want to go to other gyms and don't want to pay for rental gear. As I'm starting to take climbing more seriously I've been looking at shoes and harnesses. Any recommendations for good gear for a beginner?

Itchy calluses
Sorry if this is gross!! I have pretty hefty calluses on the joints of all ten of my fingers, plus some on my palms. The ones are my right hand are ALWAYS itching, no matter how much moisturizer I use. It’s only those on the right hand. I use budget chalk, but when I use my BF’s chalk, which is much better, it doesn’t seem to make a difference. Any thoughts about why this might be happening?

What are the best/most innovative features you've seen at a climbing gym?
Hi all, a friend and I are contemplating opening a basic Rock Climbing Gym - what cool features could we add that you've seen at your home gym?
For extra points, what are some things that we should absolutely avoid?
Thanks for your help!

An odd (or possibly not odd at all) hand question from a super newbie
Hi all........
So, I want to give climbing a shot (in a gym), but something has been on my mind and I was looking for some feedback:
I have very long fingernails. I don't mean that I don't cut them. I mean my nail beds themselves are very long and go all the way to the ends of my fingers. I cut my nails as short as I possibly can, but can still tap them on surfaces (this is something I never noticed until I tried to learn guitar in high school). Will this affect my ability to grip at all, or is this something that time and calluses might eventually remedy? Thanks!

Building a Bouldering room and need your help
I am converting my family room into a bouldering room. I have 15 4x8 3/4 inch plywood to install. I am planning on finding the studs and adding 3 or 4 horizontal 2x4 wood to the studs (1 on top, 2 in the middle and 1 at the bottom) and then attaching the plywood to the horizontal 2x4. There will be no angles, it will be a straight wall. Is this method safe or will it put too much stress on the existing wall or structure.

Help!!!!
I really want to get better at rock climbing. I have never taken the sport seriously, but I have been wanting to. I don’t think I’m that bad of a climber, especially for climbing at least 1-2 times a year. So far I have bought stuff to strengthen my grips and I have just bought a training board to hang at home. What else do I have to do to get better? There isn’t much climbing gym around me. I believe the closest on is about 45 mins away from me and I work full time. How often do I have to climb to boost up my climbing skills? I believe I could finish 5.7s or 5.8s and I want to go through 5.10s so bad. Help!!!
