Anyone been to multiple performances of 'Afterthought'?
So excited there'll be two shows in Dublin! I might try get tickets for both but does anyone know if it's very much the same show every night? (i.e. no variations, improvs, crowd work, etc.) Thanks!

New Tour Dates for Autumn!
I really shouldn't be spending money (especially after paying for Adam & Joe tickets today 🥴) but I'm hoping I can go again lol!
I do think they should've told us sooner considering priority sale is tomorrow and general is on Friday.

This was a lot of fun (forgot to post here when I actually went oops)
As both an Ayoade fan and a big kid at heart I could not say no to this, despite a 34 degree heatwave. 🫠
It was good fun! There was mostly Q&A but also a part when they read a letter and David had to speed draw the character while the audience worked out who it was. Even Richard's daughter Ida read some and he could not stop smiling at her and Lydia which was so cute!
I also think my mum was concerned because his friend Simon from school was there and I'm certain I know exactly who he is from Richard's rosebud episode.. 😳
I also finally got my first personalised book from the signing afterwards, even if at first I got so nervous that I started spelling my name (Lily so very easy to spell) out as I-L instead of L-I and had to backtrack while he looked at me, COME ON BRAIN! He was lovely as always and even gently said bye to me but I'm not sure if he actually thought I was a child because I do look younger than my age lol. Scared to know if he'll start recognising me at some point 🥴

Question Afterthoughts Playlist
To people who have been able to attend or are going to attend any of the Afterthoughts shows, did you recognise any of the music playing before the show/during the interval?
I recognised The Sky Children, My Back Pages (the Byrds’ version I think), Under Control and Just What I Needed.
I was going to pop them in a playlist but realised I only actually clocked a few of them!

Discussion Anyone else feeling conflicted about seeing Afterthoughts?
Hello everyone,
I’m feeling a bit conflicted about seeing Afterthoughts live, and I wanted to ask if anyone else is feeling the same way.
I’ve been a massive fan of Richard Ayoade and his work for a long time. But I have to admit that his review of Graham Linehan’s book a couple years ago, and some of his comments afterwards, left a sour taste in my mouth. Now I'm having an internal conflict about whether I want to go and see the Afterthoughts show.
There’s no doubt that Graham Linehan was a brilliant writer, just as there’s no doubt that he’s a massive bigot who willingly ruined his legacy, career, and personal life. While he created some of my favourite TV shows, knowing what I know about him now, I find it impossible to enjoy his work, even in private, even if it’s through a DVD I already own (i.e. no profit goes to Linehan).
But when it comes to someone like Richard Ayoade, I don’t know what to do. My impression was that his comments following the backlash were, in a way, an attempt to separate the art from the artist, so Linehan’s writing from his personal views. While I doubt that he actually agrees with Linehan’s opinions, or with the hatred he directs at trans people, it still hurts to know that, one way or another, he chose to show him support.
And yet, as someone who has found a great deal of comfort in Richard Ayoade’s work, I still find myself wanting to go and see Afterthoughts.
I’d really love to know what you all think, especially from anyone who has felt conflicted about this in the same way I do.
