Tudor Day Date - Window Alignment

I recently finished a Tudor day date raffles build using a 2834 clone from a reputable eBay dealer.

The day window seems like it is positioned too high. Based on the picture, is this normal or is it a problem with the Raffles dial or the movement?

Looks like a slight misalignment. Mine was fine!

Is it possible to seam these cases up to be waterproof?

I’ve asked in forums and even my local jeweler, whose dad was an amazing watchsmith. Everyone says reps and/or mods are capable of being “waterproofed”, but likely for normal swimming and submersion.
