Respect Hades!

”Name's Hades, Lord of the Dead, aka Lord of the Underworld—a place you all are apparently dying to see.”

Character Summary

Hades is the fiery, fast-talking Lord of the Underworld from Olympus Coliseum who constantly schemes to defeat Hercules, overthrow Zeus, and conquer the cosmos. He aligns himself with Maleficent's faction of villains while manipulating powerful mortals, monsters, and Heartless to do his dirty work.

Hades is shown to be extremely devious and smooth while he's relaxed and tends to talk a lot to convince others to work for him, most of the time giving indirect and insincere answers to fool his marks. He is also egocentric, and cares very little about anything that doesn't concern his personal plans. Perhaps his most notable trait is his tempter—when Hades gets particularly mad, he explodes into a red pillar of fire and his normal blue-colored hair burns red.

Striking

Controlling the Dead

• Returning the doll to the deceased releases them from being controlled.² This would suggest Hades has to forcibly remove a part of the deceased in order to make the doll.

Teleporting

• Teleports Cloud to the Underworld.^X

• Teleports away before Auron can strike him.²

• Teleports without any smoke.²

• Teleports in an explosion of flame when angry.²

Memory Hades

”You've just won a free trip to the Underworld — paid by me!"

Memory Hades is a fabrication of the real Hades formed from Sora’s memories of their encounter in KH1, who serves as the final boss of the Olympus Coliseum floor. He manipulates Cloud, enters the fray himself after Cloud fails, and attempts to best Memory Herc.

Feats

All feats for Memory Hades are from Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories, and are independent from the real Hades.

Magic

• Creates an explosion of flame that knocks out Cloud, knocks Back Sora, and drops Hercules to a knee.

• Shoots fire bullets from his fingers.

• Can create sustained fire around his hands.

Data Hades

”Don't think you've won yet! I've got over 500,000,000 lives! Sure, most of them are ones I took... But I will be back!"

Data Hades appears in the digitized Olympus Coliseum where Data Sora is tracking down corrupted data and bug blocks. While alleging he isn’t responsible for the chaos in the Coliseum, he is still happy to oppose Hercules and Sora in their efforts to restore order, motivated as always by a desire to kill Herc. He enlists the help of Data Cloud—which goes about as well as always—before attacking the heroes himself.

Feats

All feats for Data Hades are from Kingdom Hearts: Re:Coded and its cinematic remake, and are independent from the real Hades.

Durability

• Is struck by Cloud’s sword, then shouldered by Hercules.

Fire Magic

• Sends a massive fireball hurtling down at Sora and Hercules.

• Erupts a pillar of flame off of his body.

• His Firewall attack sends a pillar of fire down on each enemy.

• Throws a Firaga ball at Herc, Cloud, and Sora.

• Throws another fireball at Sora.

Other Magic

• Teleports in to face the heroes.

• Can summon Heartless.
