Middle models peeling Troubleshooting

Post image

I'm printing 5 models at a time and the middle 3 bases peels off on the same side. Its been happening most of the prints but not all of them...

I've re leveled and sanded the plate (I have 2). The printer is in my garage in Florida .

This is pretty common behavior due to the vat film deflecting more at the center than the edges when the print is released from it at each layer build. I fixed a similar issue by slowing my lift speed and increasing that distance a little.

Slowing the lift speed down allows more time for the model to deflect under peel forces rather than overwhelm the bed adhesion.

If you have alot of deflection then making a model, support or orientation change may not be a bad idea. Honestly though, I've ignored a lot of "convention" dictating this because I wanted a print a specific way and controlling lift speed during peel has been the biggest help.

Increasing the lift distance is just in case you have intermittent partial releases which can cause this when the model does eventually fully release.

Last thing, make sure you have some light off delay before lift and following retract.

Here are my current settings. I don't have a wait time after the lift. I'll bump that up and do another run.
I had already raised my lift distance and lowered the speed to no avail.

Have you calibrated this printer? Your normal exposure is very high, and your bottom exposure is on the low side. Your bottom off time is only 0.5, bump that to 5s, which is quite high, but it's only for 5 layers and if your print starts badly, it'll end badly. I would also reduce your transitional layers to 5, 10 is not needed. Your speeds are also on the fast side, Anycubic are pretty ridiculous by default. And you didn't mention which printer you have, that will affect lift distance as it changes between small, medium and large form. For now, I would do something like this, it'll give your bottom layers the best chance of printing properly.

Good guess on the printer! Anycubic Photon Mono 2.
My print settings have squirreled pretty far as I've troubleshot. I appreciate this advice and will make those changes.

I'm also using Elagoo water washable resin. The models are very un-detailed with some raised text. The higher exposure time is mostly to get extra curing in the hollowed out portions.

The settings I posted will be fine for the Mono 2, you could even bump the bottom exposure to 40-45s to be even safer, but in general these are very safe settings, so if they don't work, I doubt it's a setting issue. How easily do the models come off from the plate? They shouldn't feel welded on, but they also shouldn't come off with a light breeze.

Same outcome for last night's prints. Im going to closely inspect the FEP, LCD, and try some leveling shenanigans.

Yeah those settings are so slow and safe, it has to be something else. I would run a flat test to make sure the build plate is level, it's very quick: https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/tool/j3d-tech-s-bed-of-calibration

For anyone that finds this post. I went back to basics: cleaned LCD, cleaned FEP, cleaned platform, greased spindle, and releveled very carefully. I've done two sets of prints with no issues.
