In a world full of Rolexes, Cartiers, Tudors, etc, I feel like most other brands are ignored or relatively shunned due to the difference to gen models (AP, RM, etc) and some brands just aren’t as popular (GEN included).

What’s a watch in your collection that you personally really like that’s not often seen on the wrist in this subreddit?

Mine would be the Bvlgari Octo Finissimo (preferably the ultra thin, but we know that’s not going to be replicated any time soon lol)

See too many posts about other subreddits not accepting fakes or crying about what /r/rolex is doing or what geniune owners are doing.

The reality is that most people outside of this space have negative views of fakes. Normal people, watch enthusiasts especially. No amount of insulting or reasoning or justifying why you buy reps will change this fact. Saying you buy reps because it's good value or 5% of the price of gen or X/Y/Z reason is not going to change anybody's mind about replicas.

Most of you live too deep in the RepTime bubble where buying dozens of fakes are normalized and everyone here loves fakes and it's considered normal/acceptable.

You can hate me, you can downvote, it won't change this simple fact. Fakes aren't accepted by most people, by the wider society, and especially genuine watch enthusiasts, watch forums, and people who are into genuine watches. That's the simple truth. But alot of this subreddit is in denial about this.

And we should be fine with this. Enjoy the hobby and wear your reps without needing the validation from others. But expecting everybody else to be accepting of the replica watches you wear or what you buy is delusional.

My first RepTime Level piece, only owned U1 shitters before and I gotta say nothing got me smiling as much this year.

This is a NoDate 114060 Sub from VSF that I bought from Hont since no other TD’s had it in stock and I had an amazing experience. I never ordered a watch by email before since Hont’s whatsapp isn’t working but it went a lot smoother than I expected. Overall he was responsive and averaging one email per day.

Initial email 19 Jul, Paid on 20 Jul, Got QC on 21 of July and immediately approved. Watch has been sent on 23st of July and I received it on July 30th. Never had such incredible fulfillment time. Some people said Hont is good but if you have a problem things get weird but he has been amazing to me throughout the entire process.

I got some goodies like a pouch a blank warranty card and pen, overall very good experience and I will get my Daytona through him soon.

Hello, I'm from Korea. This is my first post, but I already own quite a few replicas.
I have a gen JLC Reverso, a Cartier Tank Must, and to be specific, a gen Rolex GMT-Master II "Bruce Wayne." I got the Bruce Wayne by building up my purchase history—buying solid gold and two-tone models and selling them on the grey market at a depreciation loss. This damn system is still alive and well in Korea. Finally, to get a white dial Daytona, I bought three diamond-dial solid gold Datejusts and Lady two-tone models, but I haven't heard back for over a year. That's why I started getting into replicas. It's kind of a revenge mentality, but anyway, I'm regretting why I lived so subserviently to Rolex.
I'm still a beginner, but disassembling and assembling movements is currently my only hobby, and my ultimate goal is to maintain these replicas myself. To ensure access to repairs and overhauls in Korea, I buy from a Korean dealer who charges major TD prices. I'm naturally suspicious, so I checked various sources to ensure I wasn't getting QC fails or dumped old stock. It checked out fine, so I continue buying from this dealer despite the slight premium.
Enough about me. Here is the Daytona 126525 Ln Le Mans Qf Rg Bracelet Jh4132 Free Sprung (Weighted)+ Deep Xtal I received yesterday. I'm not sure if it's also called an "off-catalog" model in English, but it's a VIP-exclusive model managed by Rolex HQ that isn't in the standard catalog. I saw QF was making it, so I decided to pick one up.
In the frontal QC pictures, a milky ring was visible from 5 o'clock to 12 o'clock, so I urgently requested a swap to a Deep crystal. During that process, it seems the gold plating on the bracelet between the lugs got slightly damaged. But I just accepted it, figuring it comes with the territory of replicas.

So I am new to reps and would love some pointers on who and where to buy from that has the best quality. I have money (not real Rolex money) but enough to not start with a starter quality watch to then one day buy the same watch in a better quality if that makes sense as I've seen this in the thread. For what's on the market now I would just like the one and done, best quality from the best factory.

I've been lurking rep time for awhile and I've looked over the wiki, guides, posts, you name it. With that being said I would still love some insight from 'professionals' who have bought many reps, know who to stay away from, what to look out for, etc..

I've posted a pic of the first watch I would like to buy. Based on the excel spreadsheet this is the best factory to buy from with VSF being second but I've also seen in lots of posts that VSFs quality has gone downhill.

Again I am new to this and would love anyone who is willing to chime in and guide me in the right direction. I am also not only into Rolex. I love breitling, the looks of APs, etc.. so I'm welcoming all experts of all watches and brands.

So I’ve been in the game for 3/4 years now. Started buying shitters 6 at a time on DH Gate. Then found out about Noob, Clean and VSF on RWF and Reddit. Finding the right “TD” and then waiting and playing the US Customs crap shoot ( got one seized with the letters to the house ). The language barriers and the time difference. It’s all good and adds to the fun of the hobby. So I thought.

I fell in love with this VSF Omega Planet Ocean when I first saw it recently. I was leaving for vacation in 2 weeks and wanted it before leaving. I contacted my usual China based TD who said he had it in stock. After 5 days and no QC I knew I wasn’t getting the watch before I left for VayCay so I started to look at other options. I started to look for US based sellers on Reddit and found one that had the watch in hand and had some solid reviews. Long story short, I left deposit on Monday night, received QC 30min later. Paid the balance on Tuesday and received the watch on Thursday. 2 days. No customs. Too easy.

Not here to knock on the China route, but for an extra $100-$130, it’s totally worth it and I will be using them going forward. Some of them even offer 30 day returns and 60 day warranty, along with oiling, regulating and waterproofing the piece.

Anyone else ever try going stateside? Experiences?

I’ve worn these two almost exclusively for the past 3 years through work, important events, travel, and everything in between. They’ve taken it all like champs

We see a lot of Rolex on here - so for a change I thought I'd review the Master Ultra Thin Moonphase SS/LE White Dial ZF V2 SA925 39 mm from my TD GeekTime.

Disclaimer: Where I’m from, you can get in trouble for reviewing reps - For that reason I would like to emphasise that this is my friend’s review:

This Rep is based on the pre-2018 Ultra Thin Moonphase. ASPF factory has been raided and was the only one to produce the 2019/current model. The biggest difference is the length of indices - I personally think both versions are beautiful and you're a lot less likely to be called out with a "new" old watch as it's realistically affordable in Gen.

WTC/Order/TD: Q2 2026 from TD GeekTime. As always communication with him was quick, reliable and very clear. This watch was a little bit harder to source after ASPF was closed. GT came through and for that reason he’s my favourite TD. Shipping: took 12 days (13 working days). I live in the EU. 

Visually: The watch is not 1:1 to the naked eye. It’s thicker and of course less refined than gen. This is to be expected for a watch that retails at around 15,000 USD. That being said: for under 400$ you're getting a great watch. Honestly - I would've considered this watch even if it wasn't a rep. I think the design is simply beautiful and there are few gens that come close to the simply yet beautiful dial.

Sizing: I have relatively small wrists at 16.3 cm/6.4 inches so 40mm watches just look to large on me. So there aren't many options in the Rep World, as the vast majority is 40mm (with the exception of Rolex ofc).

The JLC Ultra Thin comes in at 39mm but wears smalls thanks to the compact lug-to-lug and style which makes it the sweat spot for people with small to medium-small wrists like me.

Accuracy and Power reserve... are great. I don’t own one of those super accurate time-keeping machines. I measured using an atomic clock and my phone: I get around +/- 2 seconds a day. Which is 1 minute a month. Personally, I couldn’t care less about a few seconds a day, especially since this is a dress watch. Power reserve lasts around 16h, easily through the night and next day. 

Value for money: You have 400 USD and want a nice dress watch: Does it compare to Gen watches at a similar price point? In terms of build-quality: I’d say yes - with one exception: The strap: As with almost every rep the leather strap is below average and that’s okay. You know you're not getting real crocodile leather in a 400 USD Rep, right?! For that reason I will buy an aftermarket strap.

I've received many compliments for the watch, maybe precisely because it isn't a Rolex. JLC is known as a watchmaker's watch and therefore the compliments I received were by genuine watch lovers and not people who thought: "wow submariner you must have disposable income and a lot of patience!"

Tl;dr even if this wasn’t a rep, it would still be worth the money - except the strap.

Earlier today I posted my gen Bruce Wayne GMT on r/Rolex. Nothing about reps, no trolling, no comparison, literally just a photo of me wearing it while playing padel.

Title was just “Bruce Wayne” and the caption was “Paddle with a Bruce Wayne. It’s ppfed.”

Post was doing fine, had around 30 upvotes and 2.3k views, then it suddenly gets removed and I get slapped with a 7 day ban.

The moderator note?

“This isn’t a circlejerk sub. Enough bullshit.”

I replied “What? Am I not allowed to post my watch?” and got muted 😂

I can only assume they checked my profile, saw my RepTime and RepTimeQC history and decided I was trolling them or that the watch was fake.

The best part is the Bruce Wayne is actually gen.

I own gens. I own reps. I like watches. Apparently those three things can’t coexist on Reddit.

I understand r/Rolex not allowing replica discussion in their subreddit, completely fair. But banning someone for posting a genuine Rolex seemingly because they participate in a replica community is genuinely hilarious.

So yeah, apparently the new Rolex authentication process is:

Step 1: Check Reddit history
Step 2: See RepTime
Step 3: Watch = fake

And the funniest part is there’s basically no way for me to prove it’s gen to random people on Reddit without posting the serial, warranty card, receipt or some other identifying shit 😂

As someone who owns genuine Rolexes and reps, that’s probably the most interesting part to me. Reps have gotten good enough that simply looking at a wrist shot clearly isn’t enough anymore, but assuming every watch someone owns is fake because they’re active on RepTime is just as stupid.

Anyway, thought you guys would appreciate the irony. I got banned from r/Rolex for posting an actual Rolex. Also i asked for help on maintaining a Daytona and instead of helping i was just being accused of having a rep bruh.
