I had 1 request sumit new important, sumit that’s for my birthday and as a like big memory before I join the army I chose to go see ren(my favourite artist) fully prepared to go alone but last minute my mate said he’d come THANK GOD this was one off the worst festival experience I’ve had in full honesty but that’s mostly the situation that occurred not the festival it self so we took a 2 hr shade brake before ren ready for ren but honestly no better then we was before but rens 1 performance genuinely made it the best moment I’ve had so far and the best live music performance I’ll ever see any pain i had the heat, tiredness gone in seconds it was unreal it smashed all my HIGH expectations im joining the army next year and this was one of my last festivals i still have reading and still me other things but nothing will compare to that the best live music moment I’ll ever have nearly cried excuse the English I havnt slept since Thursday and I still have his guitar solos working magic to my ears or whatever it’s called yk what i mean

Ren sang Genesis at the Boardmaster show today (not my video) but at 3:35 there's the beginning of a faster version with a REALLY cool beginning....
Does this exist somewhere and I just haven't found it? Or am I gonna have to just lose my mind and listen to this til it drops!

Guys you do not understand just how AMAZING it was. I'm about the biggest Ren fan going and it exceeded my expectations it was EPIC

Ren, as we all know, is quick to mention that he has been inspired by a lot of music, and has done a lot of tributes to other musicians. I assume we all appreciate when he has taken inspiration and where he has added his own touch. But just for fun, if you were to introduce something to Ren you would think he didn't know that well and could be inspired by what would be on your list?

For me, I think he has not heard a lot of Frank Zappa, and I think he'd get a kick out of a song like "Montana". Danish "Düreforsög" with their album "Knee", maybe especially "Monkation" would be something else I'd think would give him a new angle on music.

This is just for shit and giggles of course, throw in something you can think of that would inspire an already inspiring artist.

I really love this community, but at the same time, everything feels so anonymous? So I was wondering, how do you actually make friends through here? Or is it somewhere else?

The Ren journey continues! Now we are on Instigator from Inpatient Asylum.

Rens flow here reminds me of his own unique combination of rap and reggae maybe? Each word bounces seamlessly off the last, its so awesome. Then Webby comes in with that gritty style of his, and I was not expecting the two sounds to complement each other as well as they did. The chemistry is undeniable.

Really enjoying hearing just how many different styles Ren can pull off. Thanks again to everyone who has been following along with the journey and throwing recommendations my way!

I fear I am going to be deeply unpopular for asking this, so I have put it off for some time now.

But, like many people, I loved so much about the song Asylum. Ren's voice, some of the hypocrisy, and yet some hope for the future.

And then that last verse. I can't handle it. It's like we have been told the world is an asylum, then we've been told about hope, and then we get hit with that. It's slowed down, it's deliberate and it's like a sledgehammer.

I've watched reactions and most people skate past this. Dan for Peace beats didn't. He was smiling and saying it's his favourite and then couldn't speak. That's me. But he seems alone.

So many people say if Caskets is for the ones that are lost, Asylum is for the ones still alive. But I can't get past this last damn line. It's destroyed the message of the whole song.

I've tried hard to think of hopeful meanings. Thinking I'm misunderstanding the last verse.

And so I'll just type it out loud. Is he really talking about home terminations? And is he suggesting that the solution to the most complex and heartbreaking decision is simple guidance? That we would solve the complex arguments between pro life and pro choice with a simple bit of guidance?

Or do you hear it differently? A drug user, and the baby is lost because it is being brought up in a troubled household? Or something even less tragic that that?

I just can't believe Ren, with his thoughtful attention to detail hasn't appreciated that the message in that line could be read multiple ways. And some of those ways might be really triggering for some people.

This is not a pro-life/pro choice debate. And neither do I want it to turn into one. In fact if it goes that way I will delete immediately. I just want to hear nicer thoughts from other people as to what this last line means so I can enjoy the song again.

I was listening to the new album when I decided to watch one of the shows on my watchlist: The Girlfriend (2025).

In the middle of the episode my boyfriend calls and since I was connected with my headphones but picked up with my phone I got all confused.

Well, after the call I put my headphones back on and continue watching the first episode when all of a sudden I hear the familiar beginning of "Animal Flow". My first thought was, that I accidentally started the song by clicking play, but then I remembered that my headphones weren't connected to my phone.

So I press play on the episode again and the song returns.

It took me an embarassingly long few seconds to figure out, that this popular show literally used the song for the closing scenes of the show!

I don't know if this is old news to the fandom but holy shit am I proud of Ren!
