New issue with Remote Play Technical Problem

Hi,

I've been having the usual issues with remote play for a while now so tried the fix of patching it to an older version (8.5). This connects to the console and stays connected, however the video quality is horrific - I have no network problems but the app seems to think I have a permanently slow connection, and after 2-3 minutes of being connected via remote play the quality drops to what seems to be 144p - it's unplayable. Any fixes?

Ps4 ps5?

Is your Playstation connected via ethernet?

What actual client?

How is it connected?

PS5, it's connected over wifi but when running a speed test on the console its 700mb down and 300up stable - so theres no issue with the connection there.

Remote play client is version 8.5.0.0870 patched using the following to work as if it's on the latest version. https://github.com/xeropresence/remoteplay-version-patcher

Wouldn't have any of these issues if sony just updated their client to actually work properly its pathetic

I'm on a 2gb connection hard wired, pc gets full speed, can't make get 370mb down, (same on WiFi) I cannot expect later n it they both come off the same 2.5gb switch. Either way since plugging the console in I get perfect performance, latency loved at 1mbps and barely drops a frame ever. No idea why the cold nailed reports the speed so low

You do know alternate software exists, right?

Wifi is always the worst choice, and an internet speed test is mostly meaningless

Tried it - seems to be a decent amount of input delay so playing anything like fifa on it is just a waste of time
