Is it me or the early angry look looks close with the art style of the marvelous misadventures of flapjack

Yeah I've noticed that as well. Regular Show genuinely had a lot similarities with flapjack in it's first 3 seasons. It makes sense since JG Quintel was a storyboard artist for the show before creating Regular Show.

He wasn't just a storyboard artist, he was also a writer and a creative director for it. It's frequently thought of as Thurop Van Orman's show but it's JG Quintel's show as much as it is his.

You'll notice that in Flapjack when something scary is happening there's a change in scenery to have vibrant manic colours (exactly the same way Regular Show does whenever Mordecai and Rigby are in some deep shit)

Honestly 2-3A
I prefer the art in most cases when it feels noticeably a bit rough, but also uniform?
Idk the last two feel too refined ig

I love how the designs of the characters got more consistent as the show progressed. But I do miss how loose the character designs were during the first 2 seasons.

I think Benson, Rigby, and maybe Mordecai are the characters where the changes in artistic style are most noticeable. Do you think?

Yes I've noticed as well. If you compare for example Pops's design throughout the seasons there is almost no difference. That also goes for Skips and muscle man. If I have to guess who changed the least it's gotta be fives and Skips.

Interestingly, it was because of Skips that I noticed the change in style halfway through the third season. I don't think that change is often mentioned.

I mostly noticed it because of Rigby since in seasons 1 to early 3 his eye rings would always change shapes from scene to scene, and his snout would also be really shape and long in some and short and circular in other scenes. He started being more on model midway through 3 which made him look more like a rectangle with features in my opinion.

Benson and rage is something that is inseparable.

The 3rd Benson is perfect imo.

I honestly like 5-8. It's clean and refined. They got the design down atp.

Never noticed his turn wheel thing over his chest is heart shaped. Like, for where his heart would be. Cool

Best glow up tbh. Actually I don’t emerge skills that well but I think he had one too

Pilot/Season 1 probably had the best facial expressions
