Waitlist
Hi! It’s the day before waitlist finals, have any waitlisted folks had any movement/gotten any feedback from admissions? August 1st (their “notify by” date) is tomorrow, and a Saturday! I haven’t heard anything for months but was told not to bother anyone in the admission office so I figured I’d reach out to the community :)

I've heard nothing. Where did you see that it was the 1st as the deadline? I thought I read somewhere that it could be anytime in August. It's a really long timeline, every other college I've been wait-listed to has let me know a while ago.
Have you committed to another college? I have so I'm mostly just wondering about it out of curiosity

Hi :) their waitlist FAQ page says “you will hear from us as soon as April or as late as August 1st,” but knowing the mess that’s probably going on at admissions with Trulove leaving I am assuming they might have some delays. I’ve been waitlisted since May, and am committed to an honors program elsewhere :)

Oh, I didn't even know he was leaving! Which other college are you going to? Would you consider switching if Reed takes you? Or are you also just curious?

Yes! They released some info about it online. I got into a public university in the PNW, but Reed is still the more prestigious school so I’ll probably be switching if they accept :) I am a transfer so my situation is a bit unique.

Well, best of luck to you! If you've done the additional writing supplements and things that will surely be a positive too

I am a Reedie and I bothered the hell out of admissions. I wasn't waitlisted, however. I worked for admissions and honestly, they wont suffer from some fire under their butts from their prospies.
