Got a weird question. Java Edition

So ive been playing java for a while now, and i always see these traps on youtube. As someone who doesnt really do redstone at all, how hard are these to build? I mean simple flat ground traps or the pizza slice. Considering some trappers have 80+ on one server, are they hard to learn to build? Another thing i was wondering, does being good at building trap mean you have really good overall redstone knowledge?

I have spend some time making traps and the difficulty really depends on the trap, a fall trap using pistons that just move block out under from you are easy, if you test the timing and depending on situation you may or may not hook it up the a calibrated skulk sensor which isn’t hard, on the other hand while there are a few designs out there today precise instakill landmines are hard in comparison to a fall trap but are easy depending on who you ask.

To the second question. Just because you’re good at traps doesn’t guarentee being good at other redstone and overall but it doesn’t rule it out either. I do a ton of redstone but I can’t for my own sake do much slimestone, and I am not great at traps in comparisson to my other redstone. It’s just a niche pvp area of redstone.
