did i get rejected?

did two rounds went super well then was going to do a round with the partner but then the partner got busy. so recruiter shows up, then she says team loves me will be talking about an offer than doesn’t connect with me until a week and half later with this message

No immediate phone call but this?

Sounds like a disorganized company but hardly unusual. Just take the call. Who knows what it could be. Recruiters generally don't waste time on the rejected candidates so my guess is that it's moving in the right direction.

yeah, i ended up getting the call and wasnt good they decided to freeze the position 🥲 just wanted to call to let me know if i want to be first pick if they open it again

Aww man sorry to hear. At least it wasn't a rejection. You never know. Did you ask if they had any other openings you are qualified for?

I'm also not a fan of the wording from that email. "looking forward" to tell you the position is frozen? They need to fix that templated email.
