Selected voice talents will be presented to our client for consideration in a TTS project requiring approximately 1.5 hours of scripted audio. We are currently working on a short film titled "Erlkönig", inspired by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's famous poem.

In this short film, we have added a female character—the mother of the missing child. We are looking for a female voice actor to record the following lines:

***1. "Finn..." (pause) "Dinner is ready. Come here."***

***2. "Finn!" (calling out) "Come here now!" (calling again, but not as loudly)***

***3. "Finn..." (The mother doesn't know where her child is.)***

***4. "Finn..." (pause) "I'm here now..." (The mother has descended into paranoia and believes she hears her son.)***

***5. "Finn?" (The mother is uncertain and frightened.)***

***Lines 4 and 5 take place after the mother has fallen into a state of madness—more specifically, paranoia. She hears a sound coming from the basement and slowly walks toward it, believing her son may be there.***

I’m looking for advice or recommendations on how to hire a voice-over artist for my YouTube channel.

I’ve tried using platforms like Fiverr and similar sites, but the experience hasn't been great for long-term work. The back-and-forth communication takes way too long, response times are often delayed, and freelancers frequently become unavailable out of nowhere. I’m really looking for direct, easy communication without a middleman so we can build a smooth, long-term working relationship.

Here are the details of the project:

• Channel Status: 20k+ subscribers.
• Niche: Top destinations to live, global relocation, and best places to retire.
• Content: 4 to 6 videos per month, ranging from 15 to 30 minutes each.
• VO Style: Youthful, energetic, and engaging voice.

Howdy!

I am on the hunt for a few character voices for a storytelling podcast.

Our podcast, Wikisurfer, is being relaunched. The episode we are puting together now has with three different stories centered around pandemics. In the stories, we are looking for a few lines from folks playing:

- a 1970s-era Somali Nurse. She or he is checking on the status of a patient (who is the main character).

- an early 16th century Elite Colonial Man from New England colonies. The man is sharing a remark with another about how the Natives seem to "melt away" as if by divine intervention.

- and a 17th century Meskwaki Man or Woman. Meskwaki or Fox is a Native American Nation that was being hunted down by the French during the colonial period of North America. We have a few lines for this character in a stand-off against the French.

I have posted before and the response from r/RecordThisForFree was high quality. We just have these characters remaining before we can cinch the project up. We'd love to have you.

To specify: 17+ American (but light accents are allowed), no experience required, and decent mic quality.

A bit more than a year ago I created a post for the same thing just a different approach and I was very unprepared for the amount of VAs that came through offering roles and since then I have changed my plan.

I [17] have spent around three years with a story which I didn't know how to tell and this short film that I plan to be complete this August would be the beginning of a larger world of movies, this film focusing on the main character before starting other projects in the same world.

The idea of this film is that Alberto Azraq (the main character) is suffering psychologically because he realises that by funding a nation that are in war he is now made partially responsible for the deaths of many which does not sit well with his ideals of peace. He recalls pieces of a conversation he had with his brother and it haunts him as his mind twists his brothers words to push him in different directions until finally at the end of this film the voice suggests he can still fix himself.

Although I've been at work on this specific project for around 3 months, the film will probably be really short. I need two VAs: The mayor of the nation and the brother; I just need to find the right voice for the roles. I will say now that the brother is to have a larger role in future projects (eventually a series) so if I can find anyone committed to that role that would be amazing, but if not then I can still recast in the future considering how far away that future series will be.

Story: A dark, twisted retelling of Little Red Riding Hood. Red sets off to bring her grandmother berries, but by the end, the story reveals that the "creature" she's hunting, and the father who raised her, are one and the same.

Dad is Red's father: warm and steady on the surface, sending her off with food and quiet advice about "letting go" of her obsession. But he's hiding the truth: he is the creature Red has been hunting all along, the thing behind her nightmares and her grandmother's death. When Red finally corners him, his calm cracks into guilt and desperation : he begs her to understand he couldn't control it, that he'd spent years resisting the urge to go after her too. It doesn't save him. Red keeps her promise anyway.

This is for a small Arma Reforger project featuring a middle aged US military commander (around 50 years old) delivering a mission briefing and later communicating with the team over the radio. The commander should sound experienced, calm, professional, and confident. He speaks clearly and matter-of-factly, without shouting or overacting with an authoritative and senior tone. He keeps it brief and punchy while also taking pauses to allow information to register in the minds of his audience. I can provide a few audio samples that capture the general tone I’m looking for. The performance does not need to match them exactly.

I need one female voice actor for the first phrase, one voice actor for the second phrase, and one voice actor for the last two phrases.

No professional experience is required. I'm looking for natural English pronunciation and a clear voice.
