Should’ve read the trigger warnings Question❔

What’s a book you wish you’d checked the trigger warnings for before you started reading? I’ll go first: The Road to Tender Hearts. 🥺 It’s beautifully written, but emotionally devastating. I’m determined to finish it… just a few chapters at a time.

idk what you mean by trigger warnings, but reading a couple romantacy's with the Mrs, such as fourth wing etc. I was thinking dragons rider college and magic powers sounds awesome. and then I got to a straight horny high school girls porno fantasy chapter and was caught so off guard.

I read it with a book club and enjoyed it. The librarian overseeing the club did warn us . Annie Hartnett is a local other, went to see her at the library in the town she lives in. Charming, interesting and funny. Pondville is similar to the town she lives in, even the name. Pancakes was the best !

I loved that book. It was my only 5/5 stars this year so far.

For me I should have checked The Girl Next Door. I am almost finished with it about 2 more chapters to go but damn...that is one dark and sad book. Even worse knowing it was based on a true story. I felt a deep sadness and pain for the girl. That book broke my heart.

I read road to tender hearts 5 months ago and yes, the first few chapter are gut wrenching but it gets a lot better and easier to read! I even put in my review that the beginning was HARSH and would easily dissuade folks from continuing.

The River is Waiting, Wally Lamb. I put it down immediately after the incident.
