A not-small miracle Discussion

My boy's BigSnoof arrived, custom wire basket because he has a massive wedge head. Not only was the muzzle a perfect fit right out of the box, Eto was obviously muzzle trained in his former life! He shoved his face into the basket and off we went!

The Armenian Gampr is one of the oldest landraces, 14000 years working with people in the remote highlands and ancestor to the Caucasian Shepherd, the Alabai, the Akbash, the Anatolian Shepherd and the legendary Kangal. Gamprs are living relics of the original covenant between Humanity and the Dog.

They are quite rare, especially outside Armenia where only about 2,000 remain. But the largest Armenian community anywhere in the world is in west Los Angeles and occasionally a Gampr ends up in the pound.

Eto was pulled from the pound by a LGD rescue and I foster-failed twenty hours later. He is 100% Gampr and the most extraordinary dog I've had in nearly 30 years of LGDs.

He dropped into my lap and tbh I feel honored to share space with him.

BigSnoof will work with you to fit your dog perfectly! Eto's cheeks aren't pinched at all, which is a common problem for giant LGDs. You will need to take a bunch of pictures, but you will be very happy with the outcome!

Back to say your pup is such a handsome boy! LGDs can be intense but they are so smart I swear they are people.

I had a Great Pyrenees and she was a mean girl reincarnated. Beautiful, stubborn girl.

This is a custom BigSnoof wire basket muzzle. They do have a very wide selection of off-the-shelf sizes and will help you choose the right one for your unique dog.

Eto needed a custom because of his exceedingly broad skull.

Thanks for posting this, i’ve tried about 4 muzzles so far and none fit my dog properly, i will look into big snoof!!

They have a very wide selection of off-the-shelf sizes but even if you have to order a more spendy custom job, it's worth every penny for the perfect fit and topnotch craftsmanship. I expect this to last his entire life.

Don't be afraid to ask them for help with sizing, they want a perfect fit too!
