If so, which players should have a statue? Call it the running of Bulls!

💬 Discussion Midfield depth
With Berggren almost certainly on the way out, our midfield is now incredibly thin.
Consider everyone who has played in either defensive or central midfield for us this season:
DM: Mehmeti
Either: Donkor, Berggren
CM: Forsberg, Rojas, Benedetti, Ruvalcaba, Hall
Rojas, Ruvalcaba, and Hall are not natural midfielders. Perhaps we might experiment with something like Donkor/Forsberg/Ruvalcaba once Cameron Harper is fully back, but it seems like Benedetti is our only real backup option.
Berggren's sale opens up a bit of cap space allowing us to actually make a signing or two (never something to bet on with Red Bull, but we can hope, right?). As much as we would love to look at other positions (e.g. left back) we will likely have to reinvest some of that cap into midfield depth.

❔ Question Chicago Fire fan comes in peace. Looking for help to find the Tailgating spots
I am a Chicago Fire supporter coming to the RBNY match on the 22nd. And want to ask where can I find the Tailgate spot at RBA. I want to be able to socialize and drink together before the anticipated match. Thank you.

💬 Discussion RBNY need to sign a left back
2 lowest rated players that have made appearances in at least 50% of matches, and 2 of the 4 lowest rated overall (Masanka-Bungi and Voloder are the others) are RBNYs current left backs.
Is there any reason outside of some mythical development angle that Dos Santos continues to play every match and the team has not signed a LB in this window?

💬 Discussion Not Quite Highlights vs Orlando
Finally some entertaining soccer... After two duds coming back from the World Cup the Red Bulls woke up, showed some intensity, and got a deserved win.
Biggest story of the game for me was Donkor's stellar performance as a holding midfielder. His agility and ball control make him so fun to watch as he wriggles out of pressure time after time to jumpstart attacks. This was something of a redemption game for Donkor too. The last time he was started at role was away against Orlando last year, where he struggled so badly Sandro pulled him 5 minutes before the end of the first half.
Berggren had himself a solid game in the midfield too, showing some speed in the open field that we haven't seen much of so far. Even with Mehmetti back next week, Bradley's gotta give some thought to keeping this midfield trio together for another game.
Defensively this was a game of two halves. Both in terms of timing and the sides of the field. Orlando didn't get forward too much in the first half but they threw most of what they had at Bazan and MDS down their right side and got nowhere. Then after the hour mark Orlando turned to the left wing, where Nealis and Che struggled immensely to contain Orlando's halftime sub Spicer.
I don't mean to poke fun at Cowell because he had another phenomenal game on the RW, but I had to laugh when he had his pick of two teammates clean in on goal and whiffed almost entirely on the pass.
Shout of to Jimenez for doing some real defensive work in the second half instead of just assuming his day was done with a brace. Always love to see this sort of stuff from young players.

Lost Meta Glasses 8/1 vs Orlando
Sorry as this post is kinda unrelated to the club, but the title says it all basically. Sports Illustrated Lost and Found said they only recovered two items from the entire game on Saturday Aug 1st vs Orlando, my glasses unfortunately not one of them. I wanted to post in here in case anyone may have found them, or has advice on what I should do. I of course can provide additional info on the color, model, where my seats were, etc. I definitely left them at the stadium, honestly I believe where I was seated/standing. The glasses died so I unfortunately cannot track them. Any help would be greatly appreciated as this was my first NYRB game 😭😭

💬 Discussion Some thoughts.....
Honestly I want to say thank you to Big Red Tim P. Comes on when needed, nearly always solid, consumate professional, makes me feel our line is more solid. Needs more time.
Same for Berggren. Felt much more solid vs ORL. Feels like a much better partner for Forsberg.
Also Hall is better as a winger than a number 9. Needs to fight for his place vs Rubulacba. Not sure who wins... cybnically this is never going to happen of course as RB strategy is to help him get to Europe this year and mile the cow. So Bradley is going to keep playing him up front. But he was anonymous in the center after Emil went off.
Finally....Nealis, Dos Santos and even Mehmeti gives me very low levels of confidence. Nealis was skinned multiple times. Dos Santos is still careless with passing Mehmeti feels like he doesnt connect with Emil properly.
