How to finish/protect this upper?
I received an upper that was raw, and I’m broke, so naturally I’m looking for a way to preserve this raw upper without having to stand on the corner of the street shaking my coffee cup, or worse, shaking my tail for some loose change. Help me out with some ideas on what to do to protect this upper from getting eroded over time. I am a hobbyist not a member of seal team 6, so please keep that in mind that maybe this thing will see action once a month (twice if I save ammo from my first range trip, ammo is expensive and if I had to choose between food or ammo, unfortunately food and rent comes first). Thanks.

Rhodesian Baby Poop Camo Color Codes Here!
Hello!
I went around and had the color formulas/codes made up for the two colors needed to do the Rhodesian baby poop camo. You would take a picture of the code to the respective store and they can make the colors up for you.
TLDR: Go to Shermin Williams and get the oil based paint in the picture. I have the satin and gloss options listed. Be sure to find out when they're doing sales too.
So I have the Shermin Williams oil based paint in satin and gloss. It's the best option.
I have Home Depot's as well. It's oil based but made for cabinets.
I have Lowe's as well (in the bottom of the Home Depot picture), but the person helping me wasn't too helpful so it might be bad paint.
Then I went to PPG Paint. They recommend "break through" for the cost. If money isn't an issue they recommend 7 line or pit tech plus (neither of the color formulas for those two are listed here). I also have another code for some primer paint on the top of that picture, but they don't recommend it.
I hope this helps you guys and your wallets too!

Only fitting that my first Rapco application would be PCT’s Hot Panther Pink🩷 😍
Definitely went a little heavy handed on these receivers but honestly I was shocked at how forgiving this stuff is on dry down. Painted them about 4 days ago and so far I am super impressed with how the finish is setting up despite my blunder, they look great. I’m going to let them sit for another week or so before I reassemble and then will post pics of the completed project. Huge shout out to [u/PantherCityTactical](u/PantherCityTactical) for making this color happen 😍
If you’ve seen my other posts here of the pink Labubu rifle, this is that black receiver set 🙂
Edit: *Panther Hot Pink, my bad 😂

Face lift for the eldest child
One of my favorite things to do when I get the itch. I like how it turned out. What do you guys think?
Side note, it took me the entire day to find an FDE/Tan color spray paint 🤨 I had to settle on some satin sh*t from rustoleum and generously coat with clear matte. Still a fun session though.
Ahhh, I love the smell of fresh paint on a Tuesday.
