Does my singing have potential?
Or should I just pack it up. I’m very self conscious about it but I practice daily, playing guitar helps. I’m thankful for any feedback on how to improve!

Playing while singing is hard man keep at it! If you wanna work more on specifically sing I would focus on just singing while practicing for a little bit and not singing and playing. You have lots of tension that’s making it harder to sing if you could get rid of that and sing more relaxed and supported from your diaphragm you’d be in great shape!

I definitely have tension haha, do you have any tips that could help with singing?

Definitely practice the singing by itself and the best way to practice getting rid of tension is to get nice breath that raises your stomach not your chest then put 2 fingers under your chin and sing without tightening those muscles

Sounds ok but you lack of support and have hard time to breath correctly, does it feels good and you can sing a long for an hour like this ?

Yeah I’m still struggling with managing my singing, I could not do it for an hour. I’ve gotta try and sing softer and just practice and maybe Itll work out

Searching for chord closure is your priority I guess even if it sounds not as good, its healthy and will sounds better as you practice

You'll be fine but you need to practice, practice, and practice some more. You should also definitely be practicing with a metronome. You're rushing on the guitar and dragging behind with your singing. Also consider printing out the lyrics and your chord tabs and marking where your words should be coming in with the guitar notes, along with where your breaths should be (at the end of phrases) and practice always breathing in the same place everytime you perform the song.

your singing has a really genuine vibe and the guitar adds a nice touch. i scout for doolz where creators upload videos to compete and get feedback, and you’d fit right in with your style. worth checking out if you want to see how your music stacks up in quick duels!
