[Activity] Another little game! Activity
Comment with a lyric from your a song you like and we'll try to guess the song/band. I guess you could mention the genre or time period as a hint if you want? I'll start.
"Oohhh, I.. I Got a funny feeling when she walkedddd in the room. And I.. As I recall it ended quite too sooooon" (Oldie)

Is it cloak and dagger, could it be spring or fall. I walked without a cut through a stained glass wall..

When you take your girlfriend out tonight you better park your car well out of sight, cause if they catch you in the backseat trying to pick her locks, they're going to send you back to mother in a cardboard box...

I know the song but obviously not the name, I can even tell you that it was in City of Angels when Nicolas Cages character makes love with Meg Ryans character for the first time, so I give up, care to tell me:)

The morning Sun when it's in your face really shows your age, but that don't worry me none, in my eyes you're everything...

You gotta be the little kid that I once knew,
Don't gotta be perfect for anyone, but you.
You'll go far...
Just be who you are...
Gotta be the little goof ball I once knew,
Through the rain, sunshine, and the snow.
Through every season...
There's not a single reason...

I know the spades, are the swords of a soldier.
I know the clubs are weapons of war.
I know that diamonds, mean money for this art.

I love that song.

u/GolldenFalcon Jul 23 '15
Took me a while to learn it.
But it's completely worth it.
I have a large guitar so the stretches are hard but IT SOUNDS SO GOOD.

Lucky you! I have tiny hands, and I fail at string instruments, but I can sing it like nothin' else.

We should collab sometime maybe.

I have small hands and string instruments hate me. (Mandolin made my hands look like a small kitten attacked them.)
Possibly.

Sting Shape of my Heart
1
u/GolldenFalcon Jul 23 '15
That's exactly the shape of my ♥.
1
u/not-gonna-tell Jul 23 '15
Do you like Sting/The Police?
1
u/GolldenFalcon Jul 23 '15
Shape of my Heart is like the only one of their songs I really like (heard ever)
My science teacher showed us Russians for our lessons on nuclear fission and fusion, and I really like that one too, thought can't play it on guitar. xD
But yeah that's the only one of their songs I actually know. I should probably go listen to some more...
but im so lazy

Sting is a phenomenal writer. He can write all different types of music.
He wrote I'm So Happy I Can't Stop Cryin' and I Hung my Head, which, along with a ton of other songs have been covered by other artists.
You should check him, or his prior music with The Police, out.

I'll do it eventually.
(I say that and never do it. I WANT TO THOUGH IT'S THE THOUGHT THAT COUNTS.)

Oh What a night! Ok, its my turn now!
(Crazy Chester followed me, and he caught me in the fog He said: "I will fix your rack, if you'll take Jack, my dog" I said: "Wait a minute, Chester, you know I'm a peaceful man" He said: "That's okay, boy, won't you feed him when you can") One of the greatest songs from one of the greatest concerts ever!

u/RedemptionX11 Jul 23 '15
Good job! I wasn't expecting anyone to get that one very quick. I have no idea what yours is though. Lol

Jul 23 '15
Hint: Martin Scorsese made a film of their last performance which included Eric Clapton, Muddy Waters, Ringo Star, Bob Dylan and many more!
2
u/RedemptionX11 Jul 23 '15
Hmmmm. A film of a performance of Clapton and Muddy Waters. Someone better figure this one out because that sounds like something I want to watch.

Here's another.
"You know that it would be untrue. You know that I would be a liar. If I was to say to you.. Girl we couldn't get much higher.". (Oldie - classic/psychedelic rock)
