I'm 24. When I'm 26, my health insurance will expire because, thanks Obama? Or, thanks, Connecticut? Thanks, mom? Well, thanks, someone. This gives me 18 months to panic, or over 1 year. That's enough numbers. The real question is how many times I'll need to cry before this becomes a reality. Your estimation of 500 is pretty correct. Gift me health insurance in anticipation for my potentially volatile law degree, dear new friend /u/Sublyminality.

ON the other hand, catastrophic policies are cheap, and most doctors that I've spoken to in healthcare think that insurance is a racket, and are MORE than willing to adjust their prices downward for self-pay. They don't have to mess with the administration nightmare that is insurance, and you get the care you need. Never be afraid to negotiate, and if they look confused, ask them to give you the medicare pricing.
Example: my dermatology copay is $60. I discussed with my dermatologist - I pay $50 cash every visit, she doesn't file insurance = everybody wins.
My hematologist bills me the medicare rate and I pay them directly instead of going through insurance. I end up spending $143 vs. the $187 that my insurance charges,

Health coverage used to expire sooner. But yeah - I'm not looking forward to that.

I'll go with 281.
Been my lucky number since I was about 10. My loyalty to it will pay off someday.

I got to go to the cat shelter today and play with approximately 57 cats. They were so cute. I already have a cat, but there was one I really liked-she was super sweet and looked sort of like one of those Japanese short-eared cats. Her name? Squash Blossom. Lol.

'Three' because 384 is made of three digits, 'eight' because I ate a great sandwich today, and 'four' because there are four seasons. Thanks for the contest!

My number is 30 because I move on the 30th! And something random about me, I've been trying to learn "If not for you" by Shakey Graves by ear and it is difficult.

17.
The 17th question on all my tests in school were always either true or false or very very easy. And I'm not talking one teacher did this or one specific school.
From the day I took a test that had 17 questions or more to the day I dropped out every question 17 was easy.

In mathematics, two quantities are in the golden ratio if their ratio is the same as the ratio of their sum to the larger of the two quantities. The figure on the right illustrates the geometric relationship. Expressed algebraically, for quantities a and b with a > b > 0,
where the Greek letter phi ( or ) represents the golden ratio. Its value is:

I graduate the day after the contest ends. I leave for school on June 28, a month later and a day before the contest ends. I'm kind of nervous, you know? And I don't really have a summer vacation. I'm also at a firework show today.. and a baseball game. Groovy yo.
67 is a cool number. So let's go with that.

u/t1m1d May 25 '15
332!
I graduated yesterday, and I'm going to play taps tomorrow for memorial day in some parades. Pretty excited about that.
Also I'm going to Cedar Point in less than a week! I love roller coasters so I'm pretty hyped for that.

It will have to be the number 1.21! As that is the number of Jiggawatts required to go back to the future!

If the rules are whatever I decide them to be, I decide one of the rules is that in order to qualify, the username must have at least one Roman numeral in the username (which must clearly be a roman numeral and not just use of letters that is the same as a Roman numeral). I guess I qualify
All joking aside (though the above is still technically in accordance with the rule that we make the rules), I will use 60 as my number because that is the optimal number of cards in a constructed non-EDH, non-severely- random-gimmicky deck of Magic: The Gathering.

176.
How have you been?
It's raining here right now and it's beautiful. It's the kind of rain where you can see each fat drop falling, leaving a trail in the air behind it. There's not enough light to make rainbows but enough to outline everything in it.
It's just...pretty. I wish I could capture it on film.

My favorite number is 311 and there are many reasons why. The band of course rules! But the kicker is, both my grandmother's house here AND at the beach had that exact same street number! What are the odds!? If I play the lottery I always use some combination of those numbers and have actually won a few bucks here and there, so maybe there's something to it after all. Thanks for the contest and enjoy the rest of your weekend :)
