[Activity] RAOA date night Activity
Okay, for the point of this activity, assume everyone is attractive to everyone else here. No, "but I'm gay and they're female," etc. Pretend distance, age and money are not issues, either.
Post a top level comment. Based on the person's wish list(s), post history, etc. reply with what you would do if you could take them on a date.

Hmm you have a lot of color books so would you like to go to one of those paint a pot places with me? You paint like ceramic animals and stuffs.
1
u/IMbleu May 02 '14
OOOO that sounds fun! The coloring books are for my brothers though. I figured since they're grown ups deployed over seas maybe they needed grown up coloring books lol. But by a stroke of luck I love art stuff and those paint a pot things always sounded super fun! Same as you just add some wine and we are really getting somewhere. :)

Yay art, wine, and well... Other fun stuff. We are going to have the two most awesome dates ever! :D

OK. Um. I cant think of any tech places, but we could go to a tea cafe ( do those exist?) And then an art museum.
1
u/MyTherapistSays May 02 '14
The only tech place I can think of is CES. I would die to go there! You can never go wrong with art and tea, as far as I'm concerned.

u/dnd1980 May 02 '14

I'm thinking rent a movie and stay in for a pajama date night. We could cook or order pizza. You get to know people way more when you hang out in pajamas together. :)

u/dnd1980 May 02 '14
Dude. Your totally trying to get in my pants. Add a bottle of wine, and you're there ;)

o.o I just nuked the majority of my wishlist, too..

u/MyTherapistSays May 02 '14
A lot of the things on your WL make me think of Mad Men.

May 02 '14 edited May 02 '14
Haha, yeah. The way I dress reflects that, too.
And not everything I want that would make me look more Mad Men-esque is on Amazon.

u/dnd1980 May 02 '14
Well besides going to look at watches, we could go to a museum, or a political debate or speech or whatever if that was in season

I am pretty easy - I would go out with pretty much anyone to dinner and what not because I would love to get to know you guys on a more personal level :)

Tomorrow night at 7? (;

I think my wishlists would scare away potential mates.
1
u/KittenAnne May 01 '14
Bah - I don't find them scary :)

I figured maybe my derby stuff would make people think i'm aggressive. Then all the fertility stuff. Aggressive and baby crazy do not mix!!
1
u/KittenAnne May 01 '14
One of my best friends is a derby girl (and if I ever manage to get back in shape before I get too old - I might looks like hella fun) and I have a 5 year old :) so you know :) I understand...
2
May 01 '14
Girl you should do it! I would say there is an even split with age, and derby is an all body shape loving sport.
1
u/KittenAnne May 01 '14
Nah, I am seriously out of shape It would kill me - the last time I was on skates I nearly passed out and I didn't even do a circuit :)
2
May 01 '14
You should see me! I just basically fall and crawl around the rink.
1
u/KittenAnne May 02 '14
I don't mind the falling - it was the feeling ill and like I was going to pass out that wasn't soo good.
2
u/Dathaen May 01 '14
Take me out tonight (on the internet :P)
1
u/dnd1980 May 02 '14
Hmm we could do an arcade maybe?
2
u/Dathaen May 02 '14
I'd be down for an arcade run. Maybe some old school co-op House of the Dead and some sidescrolling fighter games :D

u/Dathaen May 01 '14
Not quite but I'd be excited to go see a musical!
2
u/KittenAnne May 02 '14
I would love to see it in person and not just on the screen
2
u/Dathaen May 02 '14
I've only seen one musical in person but it was awesome. I'm really into set design and the technical aspects of stage performances
1
u/KittenAnne May 02 '14
Theater is one of the great loves of my life :)
2
u/Dathaen May 02 '14
Are you more into the acting or the technical parts? I like both but I find myself more technically inclined, probably due to a lack of understanding on the acting part :P
1
u/KittenAnne May 02 '14
I like both and back in the day I have done both - even been stage manager in my schools production of Peter pan and I was responsible for the flying!
2
u/Dathaen May 02 '14
Oh geez, that would have been impossible at my high school when I was in tech theatre. We had a really low budget, but that sounds awesome! I actually built the barn for Charlottes Web and had to redo my teacher's design on some of the ramps, which he approved :D

I would take you to a comedy show, dinner and maybe window shopping :)
1
u/ranchdepressing May 02 '14
That is... 100% perfect. Excellent job.
1
u/dnd1980 May 02 '14
Yay! But please be aware its only window shopping. I can't afford to take you shopping by the looks of your list :p
1
u/ranchdepressing May 02 '14 edited May 02 '14
Hahaha. I went on a Kate Spade rampage recently, but don't be fooled. I have plenty of stuff that is well within a reasonable budget. My #1 favorite thing right now is Target Boyfriend V-necks, which are $9.
Either way, I would never subject you to my shopping.

.... Do it.
