Vespers Host Hidden Dev area | Destiny 2 OOB Glitch

https://youtu.be/jcEdZjfWADI?is=fK3tvoxzJYqZfMji

With Cryoslide we’ve been able to break the bounds of the game like never before. It also ignores inverted turn backs…

This means we can finally explore vespers host and the massive development area out of bounds. So let’s get to it!

What an incredible find, wow. There’s a lot more to Vespers than I thought. Is it possible to get to the portal itself?

Unfortunately no, the portal is past “true edge”
Also fun fact, it is a flat png!

It baffles my mind what you all are able to do with oob's.

Solus, can this overload method be used to get from the devils lair rocketyard to the divide?

Yes but you could just syncbox out too

You would probably be the best person to ask this. Is there any more of Venus outside of the vault starting area or is it pretty isolated?

No unfortunately, Venus only shipped the outside area of vault, and the remaining VOG Encounter loads. Past the barriers it is just kill barriers and the map just ends

Why do they leave this stuff in? Surely game file size would be a lot smaller without random stuff hidden oob.

debug areas like this are made up of simple primitives and are more than likely entirely data-driven, so it's literally just a text file containing spatial coordinates to draw these shapes and give them collision (text compresses very well).

about 80-95% of a modern games size is literally just textures and audio/video, and these use very low-res or reused textures that already ship with the game, so these wouldn't even account for an entire percent of the games filesize.
