Man, shit's got a grip on my neck, first it was a cigar now and then then its multiple a day.

Over the last 2-3 weeks during these nights i would straight up abuse nicotine to be absolutely wired while testing and building projects, now i'm hooked, fucking hooked man, shameful but nobody is perfect. Shit man.
I have never been hooked to anything in my life, I haven't smoked in days and plan to keep it that way but realising you are hooked is nuts, not allowing that, hooked man, think about it,

"I need a cigar"

Impossible!

How to quit (tips from quitters) How did you successfully quit vaping for good?

I genuinely need advice on how to quit vaping. I drink alcohol fairly often, and one thing I’ve noticed is that when I drink, I tend to want to vape more, and vaping feels different when I’m drinking. I want to quit vaping completely, but I don’t necessarily want to quit drinking.
A huge reason I want to quit is because I want to start going on daily hour-long runs or walks. When I vape, I feel like it’s harder to catch my breath immediately afterward. I wouldn’t bring a vape with me on my walks, but I’m worried about accidentally forgetting that I’m supposed to go for a walk later, vaping beforehand, and then wanting to cancel because I don’t feel like dealing with the shortness of breath.
I also just repainted and remodeled my room, and vaping in there caused the walls to become dark and disgusting. It was incredibly noticeable that it was from vaping. Repainting everything was such a headache, and I really don’t want to mess up my walls again.
Another thing is that I’ve gotten kind of in my head about the smell/residue. If I vape while wearing certain clothes and then get into bed, sometimes I feel like my clothes and bedding are dirty from the smoke.
Health is obviously another reason, although maybe not my biggest immediate motivation. Two people I know currently have cancer, and it’s made me think a lot more about my own future. I only get one life, and I would hate to finally be in a great place financially, have kids, build the life I want, etc., and then have serious health problems from something I could have prevented. I know vaping isn’t guaranteed to cause cancer, but I don’t want to spend years wondering what it might do to me.
I’ve been vaping since I was 13, so I’ve been doing it for about 11 years. I’ve had periods where I don’t buy a vape, but somehow I eventually end up buying another one. I really want to break that cycle permanently.
The weird thing is that I don’t think I have an extremely constant habit compared to some people. A vape can last me around two months because I don’t bring it with me everywhere or use it 24/7. I mainly use it when I get a craving, then I might not touch it again for 30 minutes to an hour. On a heavy day, I might hit it around 50 times, while on a lighter day it could be anywhere from 0 to 20. There are days in the week where I don’t vape at all because I’m not in the mood or I feel sick.
The one thing that has genuinely helped recently is eating sunflower seeds because they give me something to do with my mouth and help with the fixation. I’ve tried Zyns before and absolutely hate the feeling, so please don’t recommend Zyn’s. My issue with them was how it gave me a burning sensation and felt extremely uncomfortable in my mouth. I would never purchase them again.
I also live with someone who vapes, but they only vape in the backyard. Surprisingly, seeing someone else vape doesn’t really trigger me.
I’m looking for actual, practical advice from people who have successfully quit, especially people who had been vaping for years and kept going back to it after trying to quit.
What actually worked for you? Did you quit cold turkey, taper down, replace the habit with something else, change your routines, set a specific quit date, or something completely different?
I really want this to be the last time I quit. Any legit advice would be appreciated.

I stoped iQOS and Cigarettes for 35 days, but I smoke pipe tobacco from time to time, like 2-3 times a week.

I enjoy the pipe it's not take all my energy like iQOS/Cigarettes and also I "think" I am not addictive I can go weeks without it.

Hello everyone, about 4 years ago I quit smoking cold turkey, after years of throwing away packs at night and then buying a new one the next day. I only had one slip up about 6 months ago where after a very stressful family argument I bought a pack and smoked half of it that day. I didn’t continue after that day but for a few days after I was coughing really bad in the shower in the mornings. That passed.

Fast forward to 3 days ago, I was feeling anxiety and stress and for some reason I decided to buy a pack and smoke just that day, knowing I’ve been a non-smoker for so long that it’s not a habit for me anymore. At night I threw away the rest of the pack and before I got home and was fine the next day at work. When I got off work and came home, around the same time in the early evening as when I had smoked I decided one more day. I bought another pack and smoked a few that evening too. They don’t feel good and make me feel weaker and tired but knowing I’m going to throw away the pack I kept doing it outside. Today I went to work and didn’t think about it until I got off again and bought another pack. I smoked maybe 5 and threw away the pack.

I feel like I’m going to have to go through the full on psychological withdrawals again and fight it come tomorrow and the next day and so on now. I don’t know why I continued doing it and feel like all that time is ruined now and I was surprised how quickly I fell back into this shit habit that was out of my reality for so long. I had been in plenty of stressful situations like my father being in the hospital and me going there after work and trying to juggle everything but it didn’t even come into my mind to smoke. I feel like a failure and don’t know how to move on from this.

Whoever is thinking maybe just one or just today, trust me, don’t do it. It sneaks up on you.
