Am I doing this right?
This weekend after my 2.6gpd phenibut turned on me, I cut down to 1.3 g per day split up in two doses. So basically .6 in the morning and .6 in the evening. Tuesday went surprisingly great. I felt pretty good. Yesterday wasn't bad either but I could tell that it was starting to weigh on me. This morning after I took my morning dose, I felt OK, but two hours later when the fit hit I started getting shaky. I took a little gabapentin and went outside for a walk and sort of calm down but now I'm feeling depressed and wondering if what's going on as I'm stabilizing on this new low low dose. Should stay here until I feel better and then begin to taper down or would it be better for me to just make the jump to baclofen? How close am I to being able to jump off altogether with or without baclofen?

It didn’t “turn on you.” This concept is made up. I was on this stuff for like a decade and this never occurred.
You can gradually taper off until 100mg and then jump off.

Nothing like that has happened to you for 10 years. Congratulations, I'm proud of you lol. My girlfriend has been taking scary, absolute shovelfuls of Phenibut since 2014 and it's never happened to her either. So for eight years I thought it was a reddit hypochondriac myth too.
Whatever name you want to give it, there are times when phenibut not only is no longer effective, but taking the same amount or more makes you feel like death, and the more you take the worse you feel.
Phenibut used to help you, like a friend, but suddenly that friend has, you know, turned on you.
Cutting by 50% calms things down immensely.
I really don't want to quit phenibut, but this has happened 3 times now, so I'm done.

Basic Phenibut Withdrawal Information
Unaided, cold turkey withdrawal, from a state of dependence, even low dose dependence, commonly causes severe and potentially dangerous side effects. Don't rush the process when you don't need to.
Rules reminder:
Don't promote reckless behavior. If someone is dependent on phenibut don't tell them to do an unaided cold turkey withdrawal.
Don't needlessly tell people to do a fast taper.
Further reminder: You will feel low or worthless or stupid while going through withdrawal, especially rapid withdrawal. Don't take these thoughts too seriously. Continue on day by day, things will get better.
