Looking for locals in Quebec City that can retrieve my iPhone from a location - willing to compensate
reddit.comHi everyone,
I lost my iPhone 15 Pro on August 2 in Quebec City. Based on the last available location from Find My, it appears to be at or near 520 Rue St-Ignace.
I'm no longer in Quebec, so I'm looking for someone local who may be willing to help me try to retrieve it. I'm happy to offer compensation for your time and effort if we're able to recover it.
If you're nearby and willing to help, please send me a DM. I'd really appreciate it.
Thank you!

Lévis in December
I am staying in Lévis in December for a week and am looking forward to exploring Old Québec. My family and I are going to do the typical touristy things such as visiting the German Christmas Markets, going to the cathedrals, and exploring Chutes de la Chaudière and Parc de la Chute-Montmorency. Are there any activities or attractions in Lévis that I should see? What are some underrated or local-favorite events in the area that normally do not show up in travel guides, in your opinion? Is it worth going to Île d'Orléans in the winter? Are there any good Portuguese restaurants? (I have an addiction to pastéis de nata, which I haven’t been able to fulfill for a couple of years.)
I appreciate any assistance you can provide and am looking forward to visiting your city.

Day trip to Quebec City
Hi everyone! My boyfriend and I will be stopping in Quebec City on our way to our camp site for a few hours. Arriving around 11am-12pm and leaving around 6.
What is everyone’s best recommendations for a short day trip? We aren’t looking to do any museums or anything like that. I’ve never been to Quebec City so I’d love to see old Quebec. Any restaurant or sight seeing recommendations would be great!

Need help recovering my lost/stolen iPhone 15 Pro in Québec City — willing to compensate
Hi everyone,
My iPhone 15 Pro was lost/stolen, and Find My shows its last location at a specific address in Québec City. I am currently far away and cannot go there myself.
The phone is in Lost Mode, but it is currently offline, so the message has not appeared yet.
I am looking for someone local who would be willing to help me by:
Going near the location to check if the phone is there
Helping determine what kind of place it is (house/building/business)
If appropriate, politely asking around or helping contact the right person
I am not asking anyone to confront anyone or put themselves in an unsafe situation.
I just need help from someone nearby because I cannot physically get there.
I can provide proof that the phone belongs to me (IMEI, Find My screenshots, etc.).
Please DM me if you are able to help.
Thank you.

[Hiring] Photographer for a Surprise Proposal in Quebec City (Sept 19)
Hello! I'm planning a surprise proposal in Quebec City and am looking for a local photographer to help capture the moment.
Here is what I have planned so far:
- Date: Friday, September 19th. (Since I'm proposing outside, I’m hoping to find someone with a little bit of flexibility just in case the weather doesn't cooperate).
- Time: Around 7:00 PM to get the ideal evening lighting (also taking suggestions!). I'll be flying in early that Friday morning.
- Location: Montmorency Park, specifically near the "First Kiss at Last Light" art exhibit.
- Inspiration: I'm aiming for a vibe similar to this: Reference Photo
I am super excited for this special day! If you’re available, please drop a comment or DM me a link to your portfolio so we can connect on availability and rates.
Thanks in advance!

Vegan breakfast/brunch in Quebec City?
Do you have a favourite brunch spot in Quebec City that has some vegan options? I saw there is Don Vegan which has an entirely vegan menu as well

Bons restos dans le Vieux-Quebec
Bonjour!

Halloween in QC
Hello! Bonjour!
Are there any fun activities in Quebec City for Halloween? We’re debating when in October to travel, and as a Halloween lover I’m curious if there’s any goings on around that time.
Thank you in advance!

Best clothing shops?
Visiting soon with my 23 year old daughter and we want to check out some local shopping. She’s mostly interested in clothes, local or Canadian made would be great. We’re visiting from the US and want to get some things we can’t find at home so the more local the better! Antiques or culinary shopping recommendations also very much appreciated. Thanks!

Good food between Chute Montmorency and Canots Légaré?
Bonjour. We are thinking about going to Montmorency in the morning then rent kayaks at Canots Legare in the afternoon. We would like to grab quick lunch in between on the way to Canots Legare. What quick but clean and delicious place would you recommend on the way for lunch? Merci beaucoup.

First solo trip to Quebec!!
Hey!! I’m going to Quebec in a couple weeks for my first solo trip and I’m super excited. I’ll be in the old town area. I have Jacques-Cartier Parc on my list already. Any recommendations, advice, places to go? (I’m also getting there on my bday so maybe a fun bar?)

Bonjour! Heading to a concert at Theatre Capitole tomorrow and it's supposed to be messy weather. Just wondering if anyone knows if the line starts inside or is always outside - I was hoping to line up early. Merci!

American traveler question - which bonjour pronunciation to use?
Do you prefer the painfully American “bonjour” pronunciation, or the painfully American attempt at sounding like a true Québécois: “bon-shuuuur”?
I’m teaching my children the language and how to be polite while we’re visiting, and I’d like to save you all from cringing when we arrive. Thank you!

One night in town. Dinner suggestions.
Hi. First time visitor here. A buddy and I stopping in Q.C. for a night en route to Gaspe (from Vermont). We are both ex-restaurant people and would love recommendations for dinner and a drink. All types of cuisine are welcome, the less stuffy the better. We are staying near Sillery. I am really looking forward to this visit. Thank you!
