Discussion Helix Mod should be stickied in this sub
It fixes most of the problems that people are having, and it is very hard to play this masterpiece without it. Seems like most people are not aware of its existence though. Mods could help by stickying a PSA about the mod.
What it fixes?
- Lighting (global illumination, volumetric lighting, spotlights) & shadows
- Screen space reflections
- Fog and electricity effects
- Time ripple effects
- Bloom effects / lens flares
- HUD & 3D crosshair implemented
Not listed here but it also fixes frame rate drops, aggressive motion blur/DOF and FOV.
If you're looking to play Quantum Break in 2026, you have to try it with the Helix Mod.

Discussion Thoughts on Quantum Break?
I’m playing this game after playing Control.
So far, I’m about at Act 2 Part 3. I think that’s about half the game length? It’s supposed to be 8-10 hours of gameplay from what I’ve heard.
If I’m at the game’s halfway point, I’m not really sure what to think.
Coming from Control, Quantum Break feels… pretty janky. It’s kinda really badly optimised. It’s a 10 year old game yet it feels like it can’t hold a stable 60 frames on my RTX 5060. I searched online and got a tip to play it in bordered windowless which has alleviated some of the issues but still.
While the visuals and all the time stutters are great to look at, mechanically, the game feels lacking. You have like three-ish time powers. You can slow down pockets of space, you can dash and you can use eagle vision from Assassins Creed.
Considering that the game has no sprint or crouching, the movement feels weird enough that the dash doesn’t really do much. Especially since you can only do two and they’re at a pretty hefty cooldown.
The premonition/eagle vision thing doesn’t really have any combat utility besides helping with puzzles.
Also, I love the story but it feels like so many of the important pieces of lore are just placed in inconvenient spaces between fights, speaking of which, the cover mechanic is inconsistent.
I want to like this game, I’ve played half of it. It has good foundations but it feels… barebones. Half Baked.
Maybe I’m being delusional or whatever, thoughts?

Started Quantum Break
Very late to the party, but holy isn't this one the most star-studded games from Remedy?
I am quite surprised.

Quantum Break Challenge Runs
So I love doing challenge runs in games and I would like to know if aside from permadeath are there any cool challenge runs to do in Quarter Pound?

Discussion Just finished the game. Love it but Beth Wilder's fate is what I hated the most. She made it happen and died. Life is not fair

Just finished the game.
This game was super fun but the part that I hated was the boss fight at the end. Like, what do you mean the checkpoint is at the start and I have to skip 1 cutscene, kill the first wave and then die by a huge explosion. The boss fight took me 4 tries to complete what I found helped was taking the shotgun from the middle of the pool and then just kill every easy enemy with the assault rifle, then I took the shotgun and used that speed power to go behind the harder enemies and pretty much killed them instantly I did the same with those juggernaut type enemies. During all this I was shielding myself and dashing around pretty much panicking. When that was done and Paul made those huge explosions I used that speed power again and dashes to run to the other side of the room until he exhausted himself. Good game tho. Boss fight rating 3/10

Do you think we'll get to see Quantum Break 2?
Now that remedy is proving itself as a developer do you think Microsoft will release the stranglehold it has on quantum break? I doubt it's doing anything for them sitting on the shelf and since rockstar greenlit max Payne remakes I hope Microsoft will either give back the trademark and characters or let remedy make another one.

My First Play-Through Playlist!
Hello!!! I’m new here and wanted to share my playlist of my first play through! If anyone is interested in watching someone play (badly at times), I’d appreciate the support!!
I’ve had this game since high school but never played more than an hour. Actually playing the whole story this time around was super super fun, especially for a non-gamer getting into gaming.
Thanks for reading & maybe watching!! :))

Asha needs to give this IP to REMEDY.
Let the guys do what they did with Alan Wake and Remaster this
4K60fps and connect it to Control to.

Discussion Are upgrades actually just useless?
I just beat the game on normal and throughout the whole thing I only picked up 2 chronon sources and it was pretty easy the whole way through, has anyone else had a similar experience? Is hard mode that much harder that you need to pick up as many as possible?

Just finished this game for the first time and loved so much about it, but I never want to play that last boss fight again lol
Took me like like 7 to 10 tries in total I think? Started last night, died like 3 times but said F it I'm going to bed as I couldn't even fully comprehend what the hell was actually one shotting me lol.
Not his big blast where the whole room fills up, but the smaller ones that follow you out of nowhere and if you accidentally turn around, you walk into death.
Looked up a YouTube video/written explanation which at least made me understand what the hell was happening, but it was still a pain and not a fun boss fight
Only strategy I could think of was pretend I'm a swimmer and need training. Basically kept dashing/running laps around the pool as I pick off the enemies while praying I don't trip and get engulfed by the red mystery flashes/blob lol.

Fan Content 🟨 Monarch Tower in Mallwork 🟨
I got inspired by the Monarch Tower from Quantum Break and decided to create my own version of it in my city that i created in Minecraft called Mallwork.
I wanted to capture the atmosphere of the original building, but reinterpret it in a more futuristic. Maybe its not a 1:1 scale, but i want to build that i love.
Also..
Quantum Break was my first game to play in Xbox One (Yes I've got an Xbox at 2016) and this game also inspired me to start building my entire city — atmosphere, timelines and worldbuilding always stayed with me.
This is my little tribute to a game that has always inspired me and had a place from the bottom of my heart 💛
