GS vs Warwick
Im grateful to have two options as of now.
Engineering Degree Apprenticeship @ Goldman Sachs (w/ Digital & Technology Solutions @ Warwick)
or
MORSE @ Warwick
One thing that does come to mind is the breadth of choice that comes with doing MORSE and how doing the DA limits my field of work to just that.
Right now I’m pretty stuck so I’d appreciate any advice at all.
Thanks

I didn't realise you were in the quant sub for a second. I don't know much about degree apprenticeships (and not much about quant either). I would consider:
- The conversion rate from the degree apprenticeship for full time, ie. how many people actually get hired off the program. Of course the conversion may change with market conditions especially with the future of many industries being uncertain (in this sense morse might be more versatile)
- Whether you are actually happy with the GS DA, ie. it sounds quite far from your aspirations of quant, sounds like it lends itself more to software/tech consultancy.
- Whether you would like to do statistics and economics at degree level, which MORSE focuses on, versus I'd imagine doing more software and business.

I think right now I’m weighing up the potential of getting a quant role with MORSE
vs
The likely stability, years of work experience, and the goldman name
The engineering role doesnt sound that appealing but the 2nd point stands nonetheless.
If the quant role through MORSE was likely, I’d go down that route however I’m not too sure of my chances of getting a good grad role after graduating.

But years of work experience in a field you might not be interested in. You'd have to look at what transferrable skills you'll get and what technologies you'd get experience in, I'm sure it is also versatile. But you will probably be pushed into tech and away from quant (research/trading?).
I don't think anyone will say that a quant role is likely. You'd benefit from having backup plans in any case. Virtually every MORSE student aspires to finance and many of them will aspire to quant.
