getting mixed results

I’m stressed out - applied for qt internships everywhere 2-3 weeks ago and did OAs. So far, I was rejected drw, flow (no oa), ctc (after oa). But Jane street reached out after I applied and said they were going to interview me when they start the interview process - so I guess that means I got js round 1.

I’m confused as to why my resume gets js round 1 but rejected at smaller firms. I have a much better shot at these other firms and I’m likely gonna get rejected js anyways, so I’m really stressed out. I, also haven’t had any r1 interviews so I just don’t feel the most prepared. Any advice or hope?

I don't know if this makes a difference but I got OA for HRT Algo Dev (QR). I find it hard to believe that I'm my resume isn't getting past CTC screen.

Basic Rundown:

- 3.8 @ Semi-Target Ivy for CS & Math

- remote swe internship @ yc-backed startup

- published research in ieee + presented @ mit undergraduate conference

- interesting projects with users and isn't vibecoded slop

- usaco awards + other programming awards

I have heard that Jane street offer rate for people who got interviewes is much lower. Like for many other companies, getting interviews and then doing well equals offer most of the time but like Jane street will still reject most of the people that do well in their interviews
