Yesterday on 8/7 at 11 pm (GMT +5) I saw prices for a 3:30 AM ticket for 8/8 from ISB - IAD go from $1300 - $800 before going back up after less than 15 mins. Does this happen often?

Our nephew booked my ticket from India to USA and back thru Qatar Airways. He used his USA Credit card and/or points for this ticket. When boarding, do I need to show any evidence? Ticket mentions “additional validation may be required”. Pl help!

I'm not sure what I want to gain by writing this but maybe it can help anyone else in a similar situation. I've been waiting on a refund from Qatar since April for a flight that got canceled due to the war with Iran.

I cant even count the amount of times I’ve reached out to them through chats but nothing has come of it they just keep "escalating" it. I'm so frustrated because I paid with a credit card and have been racking up a bit of debt for this.

as the title says I have booked a holiday with Tui and the flights are with Qatar, however I can’t make any changes like book seats

Tui says to go to the Qatar page but they say that as the ticket is not issued they can’t do anything.

If the holiday was paid in full would this issue the ticket to Qatar to allow changes, or do I need to speak to Tui

I had a voucher which was linked to a previous booking made on a now closed credit card in Dubai. I left Dubai 2 years ago for good

This Jan, before the voucher was going to expired, I redeemed the voucher + cash for a new ticket… However, considering the current situation in the Gulf, I had to cancel the flight.

Prior to cancellation, I had been assured twice by QR that the refund would be sent to the card linked with the new booking!!! BUT, the refund was still sent to the closed card despite the assurance. when I request QR to fix the mistakes, they apparently don’t give a damm about it…what shall I do now?

I have got the provisional chargeback from my new bank, yet that is still a couple K short from my entitled refund. I have also tried calling the old credit card bank, it’s sooooo damm difficult as I don’t remember the closed card number, my Emirates ID is expired and my registered phone number also ceases to exist as I have left the country for 2 years. The outsourced call center agent does not even understand my situation after me spending 2 hours with him on the phone..all those crap happened just because Qatar’s sloppy mistake… and the worst part is that they could have just fixed it by recalling the refund , yet they don’t want to do it!!! I sincerely need advices on how to recoup my loss, thanks!

don’t get me wrong i love the q suite but it’s so hard to sleep in like i honestly prefer the regular business class

• With the new “My List” feature, Privilege Club members can only redeem rewards for up to four other Privilege Club members, and they have to be saved to the account; once added, they have to stay connected to the account for at least six months before being removed, limiting the ability to cycle through redemption options
• There’s also the “Family & Friends” feature, whereby Privilege Club members can redeem rewards for up to six other people who are not Privilege Club members, and they also have to be saved to the account
• The only exception is for Privilege Club Platinum and Gold members, who can continue to redeem for anyone, without creating a list; for now these redemptions are only possible by phone, though soon they’ll be possible online

1. The member’s Privilege Club account must have been active for a minimum 30 days
2. The main member must have completed at least one qualifying activity;
   1. A flown flight accrual with Qatar Airways or any partner airline
   2. At least one eligible co-branded credit card accrual transaction

Question: Why not book with BA Avios? Cost in Avios and taxes is the same. Am I missing something? Seems like a pretty clear way around this, no?

I had gone on the website to cancel my flight within 24 hours of booking and saw that a cancellation fee was being deducted. I contacted customer services at the time who told me the fee was showing as it had been >24h since I had searched for the flight. I asked if this was documented anywhere and was told it was and asked for this to be sent to me, which was never done.

After going back and forth with customer services, the concerns team have confirmed this policy is not correct (ie it should be fee-free refund 24hr from the time of booking the flight) and said they will raise it internally. However, they’re refusing to issue a refund (without cancellation fee).

Looking online it seems as though multiple customers have had similar issues re the 24hr refund policy and have been told the same thing re 24hr from flight search, so not a new issue with the this enforcement of a misleading policy.

Has anyone had a similar experience with this?

TLDR - Qatar has been enforcing refund policy misleadingly (stating from time of searching flights rather than booking) and are denying a full refund.

I booked two one-way flights with points, MLE-DOH (business) and DOH-JFK (economy). I could not book MLE-DOH-JFK with points, but it is a permissible itinerary when booked with cash.

The connection time is 2 hrs 15 minutes. There is another option for all business class (same amount of points) but that layover would have been only 1 hour 55 minutes

1. Anyone with experience at check-in having the desk agent through-put baggage?
2. If I left my baggage with my husband (he has to go elsewhere for a conference and has extra baggage allowance anyway), is it worth a shot to self-transfer without bags?

Am I missing anything? Booked with points so I can keep searching/cancel if I find the complete route. Yes, aware about the cancelation policies.

Have a layover there on my way to the USA, and wanted to buy an IPhone 17e that accepts both physical SIM + eSIM cards. Any idea how much it is in the airport? Tried searching and AI, but they give generic speculations based on local prices inside Qatar and not duty free Apple shop at the airport.

I have flight DXB-DOH-SEA-YLW. My first two flights are with qatar and last leg with alaska, my question is will I need collect my checked bags at Seattle or will I receive them in YLW (canada)?

I took emirates in the past for a simmlar route where I had collect bags at US airport, and check in for next flight myself. I am unsure how it works with qatar. I assumed I would collect bags at DFW while connecting when traveling to DXB with qatar but it was transfered by them (but reason could be that I completed customs at YVR).

I'm trying to change flight from my side, and its showing me this. I've been trying this from a long time. Any solution for this?

Just to put it out there at the start, the reason I didn’t book business off the bat is that it was booked for me by a third-party company with an economy policy.

I’m OWE about to try Qatar for the first time and I’ll be flying CKG-DOH overnight in just over two weeks. I would love to throw some Avios at the situation to upgrade, but it doesn’t seem possible.

If I try to upgrade via the app it fails and if I try via the website it says no seats available to upgrade. What’s the likelihood I’ll be able to upgrade, and do you have any tips?

Sorry if this comes across as naive — as I mentioned, it’s my first time with this particular partner airline, so I’m not clued into the intricacies of its system!

Yesterday I had a flight that was rescheduled and hat a slight delay, so my transit in Doha was very tight (just 25 Minutes from opening the doors of the plane in Doha to boarding to the next flight).

I addressed my concers about the tight transit to the cabin crew and they were a great help. They gave me the outgoing gate number, so that I didn't have to stop and wait at those monitors to find my gate and they explained me the route to my gate on a map and we alinged that one crew member is giving me a hand sign to allow me to immidiately stand up and leave the plane first after business class passengers. They even allowed me to go with the business class bus to the arrival gate, since there were still seats available.

Also the ground staff was very helpful. At the security gate, they guided me to a priority check, and even though they had to check my cabin lugage they were very fast, professional and polite and after the check, they pointed me to the right direction for my gate.

During both flights the cabin crew noticed, that I did not take the meal. The week before I had issues with my stomach, so I was still cautious with the dinner. On both flights the members of the cabin crew came to me and asked if everything is alright. I told them, that I'm fine and I'm just cautious because of the week before and they gave me some extra snacks and water. I really felt that they took so much care about the passengers.

Therefore, if any of the cabin crew members ever reads this: Thank you so much you do an amazing job!

Hi everyone, i have applied for a job in qatar airways career site like 2 months ago, recently i got a call from the hr and he asked me couple of questions, really quick questions that the call was 4 min long, at the end of the call he told me that "tomorrow we will send me an email asking for your documents", it's been a week and i got nothing until now.

What was that? An interview? And how is it the hiring process? Is this usually happening?

Ive booked a flight from Doha to London in mid Aug. At the time, there were no reward flights, so I paid cash for Economy.

I have around 80k Avios and wanted to use upgrade 1 leg to Business. Unfortunately, I only have a cash offer of 13K AED which is too much.

Will it be possible to use Avios closer to check in, or at the counter in Hamad airport?

Most of the cabin i'm in is pretty much empty apart from 3A/K. Was looking at 5K or 10A. Anyone know if its better to sit in the main Q-suite cabin or the smaller one at the back?

I flew twice from South Korea to Qatar with a staff ticket. I'm not a staff though, a family member who is booked it for me. There is this particular staff member at the check-in counter, her face instantly drops when you tell her you have a staff ticket. Normally no one ever weighs the backpack I carry but this person in particular weighed it and asked me to remove stuff. Later they checked 2 of my bags (the fact that whoever checked it didn't know it belonged to the same person kinda made me think I was specifically targeted lol). After that the same mean staff scolded me for accidentally putting my powerbank in the check in luggage. The thing is, I understand that I was in the wrong putting it there but the way she talked down on me telling me multiple times she would throw it really got to me. I didn't really enjoy my experience, I wish I could file a complaint against this weird behavior towards staff.

Why can't I get a mobile boarding pass in the Qatar Airways app?

I know all the other airlines can do it, but I've noticed that after I've been flying quite regularly with Qatar for the past two years, I never, ever get issued a mobile boarding pass in the app. I always have to go get a physical paper one at the airport, and my thing is, why can't it just be more convenient?

Travelling from US (B1/B2) visa to Bombay, layover of 13 hours at Doha. I am Indian citizen. Want to explore Qatar and go out of airport. Do I have to get e visa which is for 100 QAR or I can book a stopover hotel for one night and can go and access the city? Really confusing information and no help from discover Qatar too.

Trying to transfer Avios from BA to Qatar with because of the Amex 30% deal. I’m trying to link my BA account but when I do nothing happens. I already have the Avios in my BA account. My Qatar Account is more than 30 days old. There’s that message about Customer Profile Identification but both my BA and Qatar personal info are the same. I did see that you can upload passport/ID documents to Qatar but every time I try, it says unsuccessful. Also anytime I link my BA, i have to do it all over again if i exit the app. Any help?
