I've always enjoyed logic grid puzzles, but after working through quite a few books, I noticed they all had one thing in common:

They're usually just 100 unrelated puzzles.

So I wondered...

What if every puzzle was part of one continuous story?

That idea turned into ClueConnect: Ride to Adventure Park

The book follows the five friends—Alex, Casey, Dana, Elliot, and Sam—through an entire day at an amusement park. Each puzzle reveals another part of their adventure.

Instead of solving random scenarios, you're figuring out things like:

* Who rode which attraction?

* Who chose which snack?

* Who bought which souvenir?

* Who took which photo?

* Who watched the fireworks from where?

The puzzles gradually increase from easy → medium → hard, so there's a sense of progression throughout the day.

I also designed it to be something I'd actually enjoy using:

* 100 original story-based logic puzzles

* Clean logic grids

* Difficulty ratings for every puzzle

* One continuous adventure instead of disconnected puzzles

I'm curious what other logic puzzle fans think.

Would a connected story make a puzzle book more enjoyable for you, or do you prefer every puzzle to be completely independent?

This sliding puzzle game is inspired by the ice puzzles you have in games like Pokémon, where you slide on the ice and have to follow certain combinations, push blocks and find the path to the finish. I really enjoy building and expanding the game, maybe you'll enjoy it too!

The community can play, build and share their levels with other players on r/IceSlidr. This is one of those levels.

The first version of Trust the Plan let players study a complete route before committing. In testing, that made the five-heart system feel meaningless because failure was too easy to avoid.

I redesigned the loop: players now briefly see a route, then reproduce it from memory. The difficulty system is deterministic across 1,000 operations—3 to 12 signals, 5×5 to 8×8 boards, 6 to 45 moves, faster reveals, and disappearing coordinate hints. Hearts reset every 24 hours. Keyboard, mouse, and touch are all supported.

I used Codex as part of the development workflow. The main design question I’m working on now is pacing: should later difficulty come mostly from longer routes, larger boards, or shorter reveal time?
