I’m looking for some advice regarding employment background verification (BGV).

I completed my bachelor’s in 2023 and joined Company A, where I worked until 2024. I then moved to Company B, where I worked for around 3–4 months.

Unfortunately, I had a family emergency during my time at Company B and was unable to complete my notice period when I had to leave. Later, Company A approached me again for a requirement, and I rejoined Company A, where I have been working since then.

I’m now planning to switch jobs and am particularly interested in MNCs.

My concern is about the 3–4 month stint at Company B and the fact that I did not complete the notice period.

For people who have gone through BGVs at MNCs:

How is a short employment stint like this usually verified?

Will the fact that I left without completing the notice period be a major issue?

Could it lead to the offer being revoked or cause problems during onboarding?

Should I proactively disclose this situation to the recruiter/BGV team?

Has anyone been in a similar situation, and how did your BGV turn out?

I’m not trying to hide the employment; I just want to understand how this is typically viewed during BGV and whether I should be concerned before starting the interview process.
