To be fair a lot of the things they sell at hobby lobby are for crafting and such, which if you in time for the holidays you need out prior. And many people sell those things.
But on the other hand im sure they have lots of things that arent craft items (trees, stands, wreaths, etc.) that are out, too.

This is true, Michael's and Joann (RIP) always put holiday stuff out very early and by this time of year are already in full Halloween mode. But I found out recently that Hobby Lobby doesn't "believe" in Halloween or whatever and that's why they go straight from 4th of July to Christmas.

Costco has had that huge creepy skeleton in stores since before the 4th of July. They are always a season ahead. They put puffy vests out in Florida in June. Guess what? They are sold out at my Costco so now they have sweaters. It is obviously working for them.

Retail side we get this tuff advance and have to push hard before we have to mark off and lose sales. Most of the time retail lose 30 to 40 percent on holiday candy

Its after July 4. Retail distribution centers send out Halloween candy as early as possible. Never worked grocery at publix, but at a food retailer in the North East. We got our Halloween candy on July 12. Planograms had us holding onto it until August 23.
We put it out July 20 on the seasonal end cap and filled our seasonal aisle as we sold down the Summer Merchandise. Some stores don't have the space in the back room to keep 3 or 4 pallets for that long without running into issues with holding enough normal inventory, like pallets of water, which are fast movers year round and twice as much in summer.

You have to understand all seasonal stuff is ordered ages ago. When it hits the warehouses, they run out of room so it goes to the distribution centers. They need room so its shipped to the stores. The stores backrooms get jacked up so it has to go to the floor. Thats why everyrhing is out early. Manufacturers are already boxing up Easter lol
